Apply warm compresses..........as warm as you can stand them. Then, mash up an uncoated asprin, mix it with a little water to form a paste, and apply it to the spot.

Do this AM and PM for a couple days and see if you can get it to go down. The area might get a little dry, if so apply a little jojoba oil or whatever moisturizer you use.

could this be milia? the warm compresses will be very helpful whether it's a pimple or milia.

Milia are tiny white bumps that typically appear on or around a person's chin or nose but can also appear on the cheeks and forehead. They can appear at any age but are most common in newborns and may appear because of immature sebaceous glands.

What does it look like? my milia is harder than my pimple or acne. thats how i differentiate them from each other.

id stop picking at it for a start as it either wants to be extracted or left to submerge or pop. decide which you need to do but dont mess. if youre going to mess with it clean the area and your hands and be prepared that for potentially scarring yourself.

if its not going down pop into a pharmacy and ask them. they might just suggest sommat fast or send you to the doctor. if i get these i usually cleanse the area and apply surgical spirit or another alcohol it dries it up very fast but make sure you dont put it everywhere!

Acne, Acne Treatment, Acne Treatments, Acne Skin, Cure Acne, Acne Products, Acne Remedies, Acne Control, Clear Acne, Honeymark Acne Product

Honeymark Acne Cream with manuka and salicylic acid always bails me out of Le Zit. The manuka is antimicrobial and the salicylic gets into the pore and cleans it out quickly. It doesnt dry up the skin and make it flakey and raw and red like some things do.

Something with tea tree oil or benzoyl peroxide might help, creams with sulfur also helps to reduce pimples (I've used them all over the years and products with one of the three have worked for me at one time or another...)

Milia never heard about that, its a pimple i think. The pimple got dry and hard because i kept on layering retin a 0.01 over the pimple every other hour so it got all stubborn.

Retin A is not a spot treatment product. It works to increase cellular turnover (in very very very simplistic terms.

Put hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball and hold it on the pimple. Press the cotton ball down on the pimple in the attempt to flatten it. Do this for about 10 mins and in a few hours you should notice a scab.

Tea tree oil works great as a spot treatment. If you have sensitive skin, you can dilute it with olive oil

I put a dot of Jessner's Solution on the offender as soon as I notice it with a Qtip and it dries up overnite.

Jessner's Chemical Peel

I second the tea tree oil idea but you definitely need to dilute it. It shouldn't be used full strength.

If you see all those websites online that suggest toothpaste, DO NOT LISTEN. Toothpaste only made my pimples angrier.

It is quite safe to use tea tree oil undiluted. Lavender oil is also effective and can be used undiluted.

Whatever you do, don't use toothpaste. The last time I tried toothpaste (gel), it left a horrid burn mark that swelled up and left a scar.
