Popped pimple- Blemish Removal Help!!

Hi guys,

I found this forum in search of some help!

I popped a couple pimples on my forehead stupidly because I thought it would get rid of them faster, but I found out it just left some blemishes or little darker spots there now after they were gone (this happened last weekend on friday or saturday) I put some neosporin on them for a few days after but i learned that was the wrong thing to do.

I wash my face every morning with scrub and sometimes at night, but the blemishes are still there. I tried using cortizone cream 2-3 times leaving it on at night, using a q-tip to apply some over the spots, and it has helped some, but the marks are still there.

What's the best way to get rid of these marks fast! I now understand why you shouldn't pop them and let them go away naturally. Please help me!

my advice: exfoliation, exfoliation, and exfoliation.

be gentle though! avoid scrubs!

Ok how do I do that? Just keep washing with face wash?

I have used:
salicylic acid 2% (like Neutrogena 3 in 1 Acne Control)
Jessner's peel (from SkinObsession.com 2-3 layers once a week or so)
Retin-A
Vitamin C serum

SUNSCREEN to prevent further hyperpigmentation

Its all working but slowly. Prevention is so much easier ... I finally have found the thing that make my skin break out but its taken a long time.

i find that for me personally, chemical exfoliation is the best way to exfoliate the face. there are multiple low strength AHA creams out there. peels worked VERY well for me as well.

ah yes good choice. make sure you give it a good while before you judge whether it's working effectively or not. i usually will use something for around a month and that's when i start to see initial improvements as far as reducing hyperpigmentation.

I use lactic acid. It's pretty mild and it works very well for me. I've heard Jessner's peels work well too.
