I love BurnOut Zinc sunscreen. I do not tan with this product and it feels great on the skin, leaving no noticeable white cast.

I bought this blush a couple years ago and I still have a ton left. I like their colors although I've only used Blissful. It truly is long wearing and doesn't fade all that much as the day...

I went off and got really nice and tanned except for my face and neck where I had top SPFs to keep from burning so I needed a bronzer in a hurry. After a bit of umming and ahhing I chose this...

I was recently introduced to this small, all-natural skin care line from a friend in Colorado. They have a very small product line; just the basics that you need without all the "anti-aging"...
-
Overall I like this product. I use it as a base for adding more lactic acid and it has been getting the job done.

Level 3 didn't bother my skin, but it wasn't giving me the results I'd hoped for after about 9 months of use. Which is why I started transitioning to Level 6 very slowly.

I find that lev 3 did a little something for my skin, and lev 6 tends to peel away at the dead skin, so hence when your new one comes through, obviously the face becomes far clearer, may be it is the alchol in this product that makes some people skin far more sensative, i have also noticed recently that i put essential oils in products on my face, my face now adays cant take these oils at all!
I do think that some of the ingrendients they have put in the GC are not necessary, at the mo though im gonna try using the GC lev 6 couple times a week and then may be do a peel once a week, just think its a question of trial and error sometimes!
Marci what do you use on your face now adays instead of the Gc?

I switched to Avene Retrinal when GC didn't work for me. I liked that it was another product line with 3 different strengths. I started at the lowest (.025%) since I didn't know how my skin would react after the GC routine. Loved it! Alternated .025% with .05% for a while to transition up, and then did the same thing with .05% and 0.1%. I have been using the 0.1% for almost a year with no probs. At no point did I have an adverse reaction to Avene Retrinal, or any of the other skin products that I've been using for a long time before starting Retrinal.

Then I switched to Retin-A Micro 0.04% for one tube - much better!
Gradually I transitioned to Retin-A cream 0.05% from ADC (India pharmacy) and alternated with tazarotene 0.1%. This worked for a while to clarify and smooth out my skin, but now I think it's too irritating.....I can't really explain it, but I don't like the way my skin looks - dehydrated in spite of moisturizing and hydrating.
Now I've switched back to GC L6 - AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH! Now it's better and I like the way my skin looks again - it is more hydrated now!
Green Cream is made by AST and available at Dermstore.com.
I think my skin changes and I just need to change products to accommodate the changes.....does that make any sense?

Have you ever used Retin A? If so what was the difference in results with the two? I have never used Avene Retrinal.

No, I've never used Retin-A. I don't see a derm and I've been afraid to try to order online without a Px. Maybe I need to get over that.
I just placed an order yesterday for a sample of Garden of Wisdom's retinol product in the strongest strength, so will be giving that a try soon.- Joined: May 2009

Hi Marci
did you use the .o25% every night at the beginning? When you started to alternate the different strengths was that every night? Thanks for the info, very helpful I'm looking into Avene

I used GC L3 for one bottle then upped it to L6 - WHOA! big time burn!
Then I switched to Retin-A Micro 0.04% for one tube - much better!

Yes fawnie im thinking the same thing! I suppose its just hard sometimes to know what products are correct to use and what are not!
At the moment i noticed that my chin area seemed to of got very tight so am just moistuizing my face at the mo and when this recovers i was actually thinking about using the viterol a in my vit c serum and then may be do a light peel for couple weeks until i see the dermo in august and speak to her about retinol!
I suppose that while i was using products that were working for me i have not thought about changing these up, apart from alternating things like cleaners, moistuizers, which i change regularly as i think our skin gets used to these products, the vit c and GC seemed to work for me ok, now obivously i do need to be thinking about changing products, espeically as i seem to be getting side effects from the GC!
If you have any good suggestions for me im willing to hear them pls!
Beauty Trix Yes garden of wisdom do some great products, they are not expensive either!

I used the .025% Retrinal every other night for the first wek or so, just to make sure that that the ingredients agreed with my skin (after coming off the GC). Then I did every night with no problem. When I switched to .05%, I alternated nights with .025% -- some people transition at a slower rate (like one night of higher strength product followed by 2 nights of lower strength product). I was on .05% for a lonnnnng time. But when I moved to 0.15 I did alternating nights again. I really like Retrinal!
That being said, I got a sample of the Garden of Wisdom retinol product that I am going to try when I finish my current tube of Retrinal 0.1%. I think the GoW product is equivalent in strength to Retrinal 0.1%.

I lately discovered a new revolutionary product called Argan Oil. I decided to try it because i heard excellent critics when i was in Europe. When i used it, i was pretty amazed with the results. Seconds after using it, i felt a huge difference on my skin. It penetrates instantly and doesn't feel greasy at all. My skin was glowing and felt deeply nourished. It isn't dry anymore and use it to prevent wrinkles. I am actually using a new brand called Sweet Marrakesh. I recommend the Ultimate Argan Gold, it is really awesome, trust me, you will love it. And the best part is this brand is 100% organic.

I have been on Ziana for about 3 months. Do you guys think I could incorporate Green Cream incorporating it every other night? If so, what strength should I use?

You already have tretinoin in your Ziana, so you should not need the retinol in Green Cream. IMO you should not be adding in proven actives without consulting your prescribing physician, some may potentiate and others neutralise the effects of the prescription you are already on. If you think the Ziana is not strong enough ask to switch to an alternative product.

Yes you can totally incorporate Green Cream! I used to incorporate Green Cream and RA on alternating nights. Green Cream comes in 3-6-9..........I would probably start with 3 (it is VERY mild) then move up to 6 when you are ready. You can also get samples sizes of each level to try Jessica.
Just be sure you are wearing a good SS.............you know the song and dance-

How are you liking Ziana? Still seeing noticeable results? Keeping the acne away?

Doesn't Ziana have to be used once per day for best results from the antibiotic component?
