    Homemade Hydroquinone Cream

I'm going to post this here because this is where all the skincare gurus are at.

I hate the oily consistency of propylene glycol as a solvent with hydroquinone, it's quite sticky and I'm not sure how long it takes hydroquinone to absorb so I can finally wash it off. So I want to make a cream which I think might be better.

Could I dissolve hydroquinone in PG at a percentage of maybe 10% then dilute it in a cream like Eucerin to my chosen 4%? And then maybe add something to prevent oxidation (not sure what)?

Please help me guys, I want to get rid of my PIH (

    ...a recipe
    You need the following:

    SAFETY:
    Googles
    Gloves
    HIGH QUALITY respirator/mask

    TOOLS:
    Scale
    Plastic sitr utensils
    Glass beaker/cup
Dark, airless bottle for your HQ lotion
    Thermometer
    Saran wrap

    INGREDIENTS:
    HQ powder
Dipropylene Glycol or Propylene Glycol to dissolve HQ
    Eucerin lotion
    Anti-oxidants - Vitamin E oil (preferrably T50)

    RECIPE:
This receipe is for a 5 oz lotion...at 10%...you can always add lotion to final mix to dilute.

With your scale, measure the following before beginning:
    3.75 oz Eucerin lotion
    .25 Vitamin E T50
    .50 oz HQ powder
    .50 oz DPG or PG

    A) Add Vitamin E to Eucerin lotion. Stir.

    B) In a glass cup/beaker place DPG OR PG. Heat in microwave or in boiling water pot.
Cover beaker/cup with saran wrap before heating.
When it reaches 170 degrees remove.
Add HQ powder. Stir. Add mix to Eucerin lotion.

    C) Let cool and store in container.

Most tools can be bought on Ebay.
Other ingredients can be purchased at LotionCrafter.

Sodium metabisulfite is best to use for anti-oxdization of HQ but I have no personal experience with it...just FYI

Why do you need googles and mask? Is this mix dangerous?
