What worked for my melasma was taking supplements and it has disappeared and even with the being in the sun it has not returned. I have suffered since was was 18 years old and it look like mud on my cheeks, chin, and lip. I just wear a tinted sunscreen.
I took Vit C, pycogenol, and zinc. I read that the hyperpigmentation was from too much copper. I took every once in a while MSM.
