    How to remove Permatan permanently?

I have been suffering from permatan for more than 10+ years due to long exposure to sun without protection. While my whole body is being affected by it, my only concerns are my forearm, face and neck as they are way too dark.

As shown in the picture, my forearm is way too tanned compared to my upper arm. My face is also that dark (forearm's color). My natural skin color is few shade lighter than my current upper arm, but I just want to make my face and forearm color to match my upper arm.

I tried to read the Beginner's Guide to Skin Lightening but it is quite complicated.

My overall question is how to remove permatan permanently? What product should I use? Is my current routine helpful?

I am currently only using sunscreen SPF 50+ (biore uv aqua rich). Plan to buy kojie san soap in the future.

Is sunscreen alone enough to reduce permatan?

Plan to buy kojie san soap in the future but according to the Beginner guide, "Kojic acid does not remove existing melanin from your skin – it reduces the rate at which new melanin is formed. " Does it mean the moment I stop using kojic acid product, my permatan will return?

Would anyone who has successfully removed permatan / lighten it recommend a list of products and routine?

Double posted because can't edit the opening post

    Hello Autumn!

I feel ya on the permatan, many of us went through hell removing ours.
I removed mine by doing these 5 things:

    1. Lactic Acid Lotion | Peels 50 % weekly (If newbie, start at 25%)
    Link: http://www.essentialwholesale.com/product/1787/lactic-acid

    2. Dead Sea Salt Bath (SOAK FOREVER) Just kidding only 45 min

    3. I actually used Dudu Osun soap while bathing, not Kojic Acid, because I always received the fake ones haha (Make sure you buy a Korean Italy towel, the best)
    Plug: BSS (Beauty Supply Store)

    4. Sunscreen! Lord please don't EVAAAA forget this! Make sure it contains zinc as well. When it's raining, wear it. When it's cloudy, wear it!

In just 3 months!?! How long has your permatan been plaguing you? Mine was a decade+ so I was wondering if my permatan could be gone in just 3 months.

You're most welcome @Satan. I used Maxi White Serum(KA) and I DIY my own HQ and RA (Kligman mix hahaha), so I just added the them together and used that the last month, but prior to that I just used LA and stuck to my routine (I actually still use this).

No I would bathe with bath salts every two days.
