My dermatologist just prescribed these 2 products for me how do you all use them i wanna get the best benefit out of them and how many shades can i get from these 2
I was prescribed Tretinion (similar to Retin-A in the UK) and HQ 4%. I use the HQ morning and evening on my face only followed by SPF 50 in the morning. I mix in a pea sized amount of tret into the HQ in the evenings. You should graduate build up the Retin-A tolerance otherwise your skin will be worse than what you started off with for a month. Use it once a week, then twice etc until you're using it every evening. You'll probably peel which is a good thing, just make sure to drink water and use a good moisturiser. If you're wearing sun cream and avoid the sun in general (which you must do, HQ makes the skin insanely sensitive and even an hour of sun exposure can darken), you can probably go up 2-3 shades over a couple of months. I've been using it since March on my face only and it's evened it out a lot and lightened about 1.5 shades (but I use things in addition to HQ).
The main benefit is it is your skin will be very even try combining with a kojic acid serum layered at night works wonders!
