Help a newbie out

Hi folks,

I’m new to the forum and need some help building a regimen. For my DIY cream I ordered the following ingredients:
Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Glutathione, N-Acetyl L-Cysteine and Kojic acid

The kojic acid will hopefully arrive tomorrow. It came around 20 bucks + 40 transport + 36 taxes . (If anyone knows a good kojic supplier in Europe, pls let me know <3 )

So while I'm waiting for the kojic acid, I need some help with the formulation because I never did DIY cosmetics before.

So my first question would be is it advisable to compound all these ingredients into one single cream ? I heard f.i. that Vitamin C should be used seperately. I haven't looked up the pH values yet, but I probably will tomorrow. Anything else to consider ?

Also I am not particularly sure about the ratio. My biggest concern is long-term safety, because I want to find a recipe that I can use for long periods. That’s why I want to use rather tiny amounts of the active ingredients. It doesn’t bother me if it takes a little longer to hit in as long as it’s safe.
I read kojic is recommended in ranges from 1% - 3%. Maybe I would even go for 0.5% to play it safe or are 0,5% to weak IYO ?

Finally what is a good way to start peeling and stuff ? Honestly I don't really want to use a chemical peel. Any gentle alternatives for starters ?

Thanks for taking the time :)

From what I see you have not buy too many products for now but I will ask you few questions that will make it easier for me to put you through.
Are you in Nigeria?
What products do you have on hand lotion cream and oil?
What soaps do you have and how do you use them ?
Do you have a good sunblock and moisturizers like oil and shear butter.?
Make sure you read the thread from the link above.

Thanks for your time ! I had some trouble posting lately. No, I'm not in Nigeria. I live in Germany. I'm mixed Nigerian-German so I wonder how you know :D
Your probably right saying that these aren't too many ingredients, but I'm a student and hence on a budget. Also it's kind of hard to get hold of good lightening ingredients here. Only very few dark-skinned people live here so the demand is not very huge. I have to pay horrendous taxes when importing from the US. I ended up paying around 100 EUR to get 20 Dollar worth of kojic acid so I thik I will have to focus on very few ingredients to keep the taxes to a minimum.

I do not use any hand lotion, soaps or oil yet ? Probably I should because after one week of kojic I notice that the skin around my hands are getting a little rough sometimes. I use 50+ sun block because that's the highest SPF that I found in stores here.

I will definately work through the link withing the next few days. Thanks for your time ! :)

@bumi
The best advice I can give you is that you should connect yourself with people on SCT who live in Germany that is the easiest way to begin they will show you where all the goodies are and help you with your regimen @gymrat can help with that.
For the ingredients you bought you can use it to boast your products you don't need to make cream from scratch.
Niacinamide is good for face you can add 6 to 10 grams(in 100ml) of it into your face cream or lotion that will be like 6 -10 % of niacinamide.
Kojic acid- you can add a little to your kojic acid serum to increase it potency, use your brightening cream along with the serum make only one serum at a time.
Vitamin c - don't ever add this to anything not even a vitamin c serum it is very unstable. Use Google to search for DIY vitamin c serum make quantity you will use within 7 to 10 days or better still google vitamin c and gluta serum.
Glutathione can be added to gluta cream or lotion. Will post any link I can get to help.

@mccartney Kannst du mir vllt. nen kleinen Anhaltspunkt geben, wo man HQ cremes in Deutschland herbekommt ? Komme da nich so ganz voran.
