Helloo Everyone!

I have an issue, and I'm hoping someone might be able to give me some advice.

I went to the woods back in June with the kids.. We were playing throughout the woods, and the kids also played with "Well Water" and filled their squirt guns with this water, and needless to say, I was sprayed with it, and so were they. After we left the woods, I noticed they had small red bumps on them, but they went away immediately. I, on the other hand, didn't notice them until the next day.

They didn't bug me too much at first, but they became very itchy and hurt. They started out ONLY on my right arm. They itched very bad, and I itched it so much it pretty much became a self inflicted wound.. it became very red, scaly, and dry.

Well, I couldn't afford to go to the dermatologist, so I didn't. I decided to try and cure it myself.

Before I seen the dermatologist I have tried:

Benadryl (cream and pills)
Ivarest (thought it was poison ivy or something)
Caladryl
Emollient Cream (It was for our child that has exzema)
Some cream for dermatitis (I got from my boyfriends mom)
Hydrocortisone cream

It obviously still hasn't gone away. It spread a little to my other arm, small red bumps, but not as many as my right arm.

I went to the dermatologist finally.. (I work as a dental assistant and had to get this taken care of because patients cannot be seeing this)

The dermatologist wasn't very helpful, he told me it had to be something I came in contact with at the woods. Gave me Prednisone and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream... I started taking the Prednisone, but stopped because I woke up one morning and my heart was racing and I had a hard time breathing. Well, I started taking it again.. but didn't take it as suggested. I assume that didn't help.

It got worse, spread to my other arm very bad.. my face, neck, back, hands, basically anywhere it could - not as bad, but enough!

I went back to the same dermatologist, and he said it must be some kind of contact dermatitis. Gave me prednisone again, some kind of injection, and told me to calll him Friday. It hasn't gotten better. It has helped the initial breakout, on my right arm.. but nothing else.

On my face, there's small bumps and areas that looks inflammed.. it hasn't gone away and I have been on prednisone and the injection since Monday.

I am going insane. I don't understand why he hasn't suggested something else?

I am around our dog everyday, he sleeps with us. I did a lot of tanning this summer - outside and tanning beds. I've been in the lake a lot, and have been in chlorine throughout the summer.

Any suggestions? Let me know if you need more info!!

*********I TRIED UPLOADING THE PICTURES, BUT I HAVE NOT MADE 15 OR MORE POSTS, SO THIS WEBSITE WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO UPLOAD THEM... IF YOU ARE STILL INTERESTED IN HELPING, PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT [email protected] AND I CAN SEND THEM TO YOU********* THANKS!!

It may not look like it in the pictures, but the bumps are pink and read. They normally start out pink and turn red when I itch (I know I know, I shouldn't itch but it is very painful).. I've noticed they also look like they form a dark red scab like they bled - but they didn't.

The one with what looks like scabs is the initial area it started on. It started with the bumps, and I severely scratched it and irritated it I believe, where it started scabbing over, flaking and oozing as well. In certain areas, it did crack my skin as well (my wrists, forearm, and finger) It did ooze when I went to the dermatologist the first time.

As for my face, you can't see in the pictures very well, but the inflammation generally went down, but there are still these bumps all over and it is very rough. I apologize again for the photos!

I call the Dr. back tomorrow, he wanted me to let him know what was going on. Well, my reply is going to be, it helped the initial arm. It did not help my other arm at all, it took the inflammation away from my face, and that's about it. I keep repeatedly getting these bumps.

When I looked online, it said many things can cause contact dermititis.. I work in a Dental office, so I am around chemicals a lot.. But this started in June, I had been working at this place since March. Wouldnt it effect it right away? I am around a dog constantly, maybe the dander makes it worse?

I also think he had me on a small dosage of prednisone. He started me with 10mg the first time, but then I said my heart started racing - I think that was caused by the stress this is causing me. The second time, he has me on 5mg.

If he doesn't have an answer, or just wants me to pay AGAIN to look at it, I'm going to someone else.

Thank you for your help in advance!
