Hello, I found your forum. I am a middle aged male and am noticing signs of aging around my eyes. I have been searching on line and most products seem to be geared or at least marketed towards woman. Are there any products out there to specifically treat the signs of aging in men? Or are most of the products created for both men and women?

Some of the best anti aging formulas contain Matrixyl , Hyaluronic acid, Galactoaribanan and Idebedenone. These work brilliantly on men as well as women. I work in the industry and make my own skin care and I tell you that this stuff works! I did some before and after photo's of myself and after 2 months I look easy 10 years younger. So try the womens products as they do work on men.

Hi, woodendoor! If you take a look at the marketing strategies of most rejuvenating creams and solutions, you'll notice that almost every product uses the picture of a woman to show its results. This has a simple explanation: women are FAR more concerned about their skin's appearance... so women are the main consumers of these products. Surely some products will say "especially for men", but they don't use to offer a good reason to believe in their claims. As you said, most "classic" products will be equally effective for men and women, so just go ahead and try them ;-)

My step-dad uses a combination of two or three products (I think it's a kit) that really helps his skin. He tells us about it all the time
. My mom is not so sure that it works as good as he thinks it does, but I think he's looking better. Hard to really tell, but over time I think there is an improvement.

The other members are right. All products will work fine on both men and women. Companies just choose to market to women since that's their biggest demographic.

Hi, I'm very new to this forum, but not to anti-aging issues...
There are a couple of companies that you might want to investigate for men's skincare and anti-aging products. I've read that men have different skincare needs and won't get great results from using products made for just women:

Kiehls (products for both men and women)
Zirh (men's skincare - has an anti-aging line)
L'Occitane (products for both men and women)

As far as aging around your eyes, you didn't specify if it's crow's feet, or
lines and undereye wrinkles or bags, but check out Easy Eye Solutions.
I found out about it on another forum, and it's the most effective product I ever purchased. (well, it's two products, but you might only need one - depending on what you're trying to repair)

I don't work for any of these companies, but I do use some of the Kiehl's products, and am really, really glad I found out about the Easy Eye Solutions. That stuff is just amazing.

All these companies have websites you can google. Hope that helps you out a bit.

Just thought id add my opinion that personally i dont like mens facial products they seem to be very highly perfumed and dont have the active ingrendients that womens products too!

I dont know enough about these products that are for men and women but however if you are forming lines around the eye your best bet is to try a product with retinol it it!

There are good things to be said about these peptides that seem to be in a lot of these products that are around these days and bad, im yet to try out the peptides, too scared at the mo of things like facial sagging that can be caused due to them, but however if you do use peptides just use them on the facial lines no where else!

Anyway stick to looking at womens products they are far better than mens, i use my products on my boyfriend all the time as dont like all the mens out there!

Also Makeupalley - Street Smart Beauty - Homepage Smart Skin Care - Intelligent Rejuvenation Through Science are good sites to look at for product reviews!

Skincare really isn't that specialised, i mean many of the products that are marketed for men, aren't really containing any more goodstuff than that of women's products, and generally they can be quite costly. Although the shaving act on a man's skin does help with stimulating the skin to renew itself, they also are lucky in that they have hormones on their sides (and so generally start off with thickerskin than us girls) but having said that, you could quite easily get away with using good quality products (that are perhaps marketed for women) without anyone being any the wiser. Its just about finding the right products for your skintype.
