This statement is arguable! Only people who suffered from acne experienced its damaging effect on all aspects of life...social, emotional, physical. So finding a cure for acne means starting a new life, coming out of your shell and feeling beautiful.
I've tried everything that was out there in the market before I started using benzoyl peroxide as my treatment, and with every method that failed, I can tell you the hope inside of me was dying. I felt like I was cursed for some reason.
When my face started to clear up, I honestly felt like the happiest person to be alive.
That being said, I do agree that BP can be severe, especially if you use a thick layer morning and evening - it going to feel like your face is on fire. But once your face starts to clear up, gradually you can reduce the "dosage" of BP application. Right now I only use it once a day (in the evening) a very thin layer. And of course I protect and nurture my skin in various ways and always use sunblock moisturizer in the morning.
BP is a treatment, and like with all treatments a person must be careful. I think there's no need to mention precautions that go with using Accutane for example
ANY acne fighting regimen needs thorough monitoring.
