Apply LIGHTENERS in this order for the BEST RESULTS 2014

Hello SCT!

I never stop looking for info on the efficacy of lightening. Since I prefer to mix my lightening potions and that has worked for me. Sct'ers ask me how I mix some of my products or how I layer them. I apologize in advance,
if theres a thread about this already

I figured I would let you in on some info I discovered a while ago.

While away for the summer, I didn't wanna miss out on any fun at the beach either so I also have some tips, better late than never.

I don't remember what site I got this info from one late night but I screenshot this info.

RULE of THUMB, products get applied in the following sequence

1. Serums

2. Gels

3. Lotions

4.Creams

5. Oils

Make sure you apply enough product to cover the skin. And Always let the product soak into the skin completely before applying another product over it.

AND since I can't be bothered with re applying Sunscreen most of the time try this
For sun protection during the day. And to avoid premature aging and skin darkening ,Go to a sports store or online and grab Sun protective clothing. It should be labeled UPF (ultra violet protection factor) which tells you how effective the clothing shields against the sun. Also labels UVR(ultra violet radiation)

The more vivid the color, the better it will protect you. I hold the fabric up to the sun and if I see a lot of sun rays coming through the fabric, I switch to something with a tighter weft. If you don't wanna spend much find t- shirts etc that are tightly wefted so that sun rays can't get through the fabric as much
Hope this helps Fam, Love DOODOOBROWN

I know right? you never know what thread will come back lol... @lightboy... if you feel it works better that way for you..then go. Thats like putting oil on top of the egg you're trying to fry. It will still fry but it will take longer.
@DOODOOBROWN.. I just saw this comment.... I had a bad reaction to G&G gave me red bumps... My skin tone fluatucles from Nc 45 to Nc 42 at the lightest... Basically my staples are Kojie san soap or dead sea soap 2 times a week only.. Mild LA lotion daily and Glycolic acid lotion........ IKB Arbutin lotion.. this took me to an NC 42 with 3 months plus it was still winter/spring season... so no sun exposure.... now I have a tan on my outter arm and I stopped using IKB lotion... So back to Nc 44/45 so starting back up this month.... My Ava tor is Me.....

Yeah I've always used my G&G oil before my cream but I'm gonna try it the other way around this time.

@John-Dave
You look great!!! Sorry that Mr G. messed with your skin.. May I ask, were you using gng lotion or the oil??
You fluctuate back and forth like me,,, Oh yes and my outer arms are the first to darken. as well, especially in the summertime.. My largest vitiligo spot is on my arm and leg, so I know when I get darker when the vitiligo spot is not blending in with my light skin
hey boo,,,,I always save the oil for last. It coats the lotion and creams, and I see a difference faster, let me know if it works for you @lightboy

:iagree: ...this works for me too. However, some oils are very light almost like serums an example is GnG oil, so it depends on the oil for me.
Good to know @DOODOOBROWN definitely will do. We'll see how it goes.
true @Blinky
@ DOODOOBROWN im getting the KIT sooneest as well as lactic acid ( yet to decide on LA ) but i noticed little peeling on my fingers and my face getting brighter ( not light ) so should i continue with the fair and white AHA lotion when peeling.
Chello there 😛

Hoping I can crash this thread 😬
Basically I'm looking to exfoliate from a Nia Long permatan to my natural Zoe Saldana butter pecan glow. I posted my own thread and got some great feedback from moon maiden but just wanted to bounce my concerns off as many experienced members as I can.

If y'all wouldn't mind I'm reposting my concerns, questions, and regi below so I'd love any feedback you can share!!! To sum it up I need help with product selection to suit my goals (soap, serum) and make sure I'm using everything correctly and in best order....

Soaps:

Was leaning towards Nasabb black soap but have been researching this forum for other recommended soaps per your suggestion. Seems like most of them are well liked.. Likas, Kojie Sans, Dodo Osun. Is one better or worse than the other as far as lightening/brightening NOT whitening? Having a naturally butter pecan color I don't want that ashy look or whitened look. Don't mind lightening a shade or 2 but without looking white washed. I heard Kojie Sans gives a white ashy look???? Would Likas be more suited to the results I want? Or another soap??

I'm going to pick up amlactin. The bottle doesn't say 12% LA?? Can I use this everyday? If I understand correctly the only day I don't use the LA lotion is the day I apply my LA peel? What about the day before and day after? Since I'm only to use my butters at night what do I use if I'm not to use amlactin everyday?

I'm going to use LA 40% every week or every other week on face and LA 55% on body once a week Can I apply the solution everywhere?? Underarms, butt, inner butt (crack), inner thighs?

What's the one day peel you spoke of for joints??? Where do I buy this? Can I use it the day after I apply the LA peel? Could I use it on underarms, inner thighs, butt, etc?

I'll add a toner per your suggestion. I have witch hazel with aloe vera.

For SAP I'm going to get burnout face & body... Read another thread and this seems to be one of the few that doesn't leave a white cast. Better recommendation?

Weekly sea salt baths using KIT after soak.

Also need help with dark under eye circles. I forgot to mention it in my previous post but I've been researching and vitamin c, k, rosehip oil, almond oil comes up. Can't afford skinceuticals so I'm looking into cosmetic skin solutions... Any other vitamin c or k serums highly effective for dark circles?

Regimen:

face am:
soap (undecided)
witch hazel toner
rosehip oil
amlactin
badgers if leaving house

face pm:
soap (undecided)
witch hazel toner
vit c or k serum
amlactin
butters

body am:
soap
amlactin
badgers if going out

body pm:
soap
amlactin
butters

wednesday:
LA peels

Monday:
sea salt bath

Oh and I've read thru this thread as much as I could and researched the forum got a lot of my plan from that, just wanting to make sure I actually put it all together correctly.. Can't afford to mess up when it comes to acids !
You don't gave to do the butters daily. I'd say just once or twice a week. When I used amlactin I used it everyday.
Yeah u can use LA peel on your sensitive areas you just gotta not leave it on very long at first.
I hope this thread has helped you... how is it going so far? @paleomomma
Just wanted to say OP this helped me....working out a lot better...thanks

Sorry just saw this @sexysisi,,, while peeling stop exfoliating that area and simply moisturize the peel instead.. evoo or coconut oil is great I use that to heal my skin when I flake a bit. I also Love Emu oil..

I see the same questions being asked so reviving
@DOODOOBROWN U KNOW Imma have a couple questions guuuuurrllll

1. Seeing that I mix my products all together, r u saying that it would be more effective to layer it?
2. How long would u say that products take to absorb in the skin as I'm heavy handed n I tend to have to wait 30mins + n it STILL be greasy on my skin
3. So r u saying that u prefer a DIY B3 Lotion over LA Lotion?
4. Since I have never done a peel, what % would u suggest starting with bearing in mind that my skin is sensitive.
5. Would u suggest doing in Summer n how often?
6. PLZ if u could can u give a blow by blow description on how u do ur LA peels?
7. What is ur regi in ur recovery time n how long is ur recovery time?

THANK U DOLL
Wya
