From my understanding this product is a relatively new in the USA. Has anyone had it administered or heard any negative side effects?

Welcome Pepper! Artefill use to be Artecoll, Artecoll went bankcrupt last year and now it's called Artefill, Artecoll has been in the market for at least 10 years

I had Artecol, it was very good, plumped my lips and lasted for a good 5 years, also did the nasolabial folds but left a little bump. that is one of the side effects called granuloma

Facial filler complications

I found another link about side effects of Artecol, some sites say it's very safe but after looking at those pictures, you will change your mind. it cost around $750 for a syringe.

it says: While short term results of ArteColl appear to be very positive, after several years, perhaps as the skin continues to thin, bumps and irregularities seem to become more prominent.

I can vouch for the granuloma effect. My girlfriend had it in her NLs and developed terrible granulomas which had to be removed by a cosmetic surgeon. I would suggest Radiesse as a longer-lasting filler. It is made from calcium hydroxyapatite which is, over time, broken down and carried away by the body. (Calcium hydroxyapatite is a naturally occuring substance.) Radiesse lasted 8 months in my NLs.

Thanks Antonia for your info about Radiesse, I will certainly do my research on Google. About your friend, having her granulomas removed by the surgeon, did it leaves scars? And do you know how much it cost her to remove the granulomas.

I knew the granulomas can be removed, but it's to find the "good" one who can do this!

Just find this on Radiesse and doesn't look promissing

I just noticed that I signed up before on this forum and have two IDs. What a twit. I'd better get rid of one fast.
