Hi,

I am a Male 28 yrs old. I am troubled with Back Acne. Tried a few things. First I consulted a dermatologist he said it could be some allergy to food like wheat, meat etc. I abstained from wheat for an year and meat for 4 yrs no respite. Then tried ayurveda, homeopathy everything. No solution. I am taking shower three times a day. Tried to avoid contact with my back and some other surface,
for this I am sleeping face down, don't sit back while driving etc. I am wearing only cotton clothes.

Does anyone know a way to get rid of back acne.

I dont have much pimples only thing is back acne.

Please Help.

Get acne cream and put it on your back maybe?
Showering three times per day might be too much. Also, what kind of soap are you using? It may be aggravating the acne.
Try installing a shower filter to take the chemicals out of your water.
Nice commitment with the years of no luck. Do you exfoliate your back?
if u dont mind oral treatment, antibiotic helps
Try an acne script for your back- I used to have that and now it is gone.

Can you explain what that means?

Thanks!
To clear bacne i read somewhere that when you're in the shower you have to be sure to clena your back thoroughly with soap and then rinse it off really well. Be careful of letting your shampoo and conditioner get onto your back because you'll have to rinse that off really well too. It's okay to let your hair dry naturally after a shower but it's bad to keep the back of your shirt all soaked with water, or sweat when you play outside. Also, wear loose-fitting, thin shirts to bed so your skin can breath. You can try putting clearasil or some other acne remover on your back but it's kinda hard so maybe get someone to help if they dont mind.

if you wash too much it can wash off the natural oils on your skin. that can lead to your skin making excess oil and then acne. so three showers a day is probably too much
3 showers a day is definately too much. Bring it down to two.
I suggest proactiv. they send it to almost every country in the world and it really works! I've been using it for almost 2 weeks and it has dried up my pimples and people have been noticing my skin is improving. Get proactiv!!!

Treat the skin on your back, just like the skin on the rest of your body. Three showers a day is probably bad, especially if you are taking hot showers and cleansing with a harsh soap. You should cut it back to no more than two lukewarm to cool showers a day. Pick a mild soap and gently wash with a loofah or other semi-rough material. Rinse well, gently dry your skin, and apply a light lotion, which will counter the drying affects of your soap. Also, some facial masks can be good for the back, especially if they contain sulfur. Good luck!
take zinc vitamins it works for acne, that's what i read and will try that myself.
Proactiv do a body wash. I get acne on my shoulders and back too and use that and St Ives Apricot body wash.

I've tried ProActiv's body wash, as well as Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, and even Head and Shoulders shampoo
(but before you say anything, I read that it worked for another person on a different forum).

Nothing worked. The "bacne" isn't my only problem, but the scarring; that covers both shoulders and the top of my back. I'm too embarrassed to wear sleveless shirts, and you can forget backless or strapless anything.
I'm ready to find a cure.

Benzol peroxide 10% does work. Unless you have what's called pityrosporum folliculitis which is associated to a yeast overgrowht in the follicules. If that's the case BP will not help, look for products containing mandelic acid.......and also change your detergent to sulfate-free ones...Like All free and clear, wash all your sheets and shirts over.
You can use Acne Gone Soap, Serum, and Medicated Healer. I had problems with back acne and the minute i started using those products i started seeing resolute in a week. My back acne has calm down i barely have any. So i really recommend those products they really work.

Interesting info about the yeast overgrowth. My son has really bad back acne and nothing seems to help (creams, antibiotics, etc.). May need to give the mandelic acid a try. I know MUAC has some mandelic products, but is there any particular product you would recommend?

Also, a note for those that try the BP 10%. I suggest putting it on your back at night and wearing a white shirt. The BP will stain/bleach your clothes! My son learned that one the hard way.
My daughter had very bad back acne and after using goat milk soap they are all gone and the spots have faded. Goat milk soap is excellent for the skin as the ph is low enough for the human skin. Its not an overnight remedy it takes time for it to work, but the patience is well worth it. You can read my blog on the wonders goat milk soaps have to offer to the skin. I also recommend raw juicing as what goes into our bodies eventually shows outward.
