Hello everyone,
In an effort to minimize the redness on my nose I am trying to find a nice gentle face wash with minimal ingredients/things that could agitate my skin in it. Do you all have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

HI CommMajor
Periwinkle uses Baby Shampoo to wash and then follows it with an apple cider vinegar/water toner that he makes himself.
I wonder what is causing the redness though?
No longer using the baby shampoo. Searched around and it's not as great as I thought.
Or maybe it is.
Who knows. I never could get a definite ph level from searching the net. Some say 5.5 others say higher. I'm currently using Neutrogena deep clean facial cleanser. I also diluted my ACV toner some cause the 50-50% mixture was too drying/flaking on my face.

Something else to worry about -- I just read an article that wearing sunscreen prevents the production of Vit D -- however it was stated that most people don't put on enough sunscreen to block all the sun rays. I guess we take pills year round.

Well, if your skin is red and sensitive, maybe just a mild cleanser and the sunscreen would let it rest. Is it peeling or having blackheads or just red?
Any recommendations for a mild cleanser? Really that's my goal is to get actual product recommendations. I know what I need (ie a mild cleanser and sunscreen) but I don't know any good ones. So any product recommendation would be great (and don't worry about the gender confusion, although I'm not sure a lot of guys would be seeking skin care advice). And yes, it stands for Communications Major - haha. You guys are funny

I also found that we only need 15 min of sunlight a day to produce Vit D, so no frying all day needed!

CommMajor: Dr Hauschka makes a Cleansing Milk and Cleansing Cream that are very gentle. I use both on my sensitive skin and haven't had trouble. I use Retin-A and Vit C serum so I have to use something gentle too. I hope this helps you in some way.
