I've never heard of them but there's another group called depig.com who demand that, in order to join you send a photo of yourself holding a paper with the letters DPG on it. They claim to be getting their mono at an extremely low rate. The blogs I've read there seem to be a whole lot of rambling nonsense devoid of content. Has anyone figured these people out?

If you ever went to that group there is a link to this site right on the front page that is how I came to learn about this forum.

It was one of the oldest skin lightening groups out there and the first one I ever joined.

I remember joining that group awhile ago, not many users post there anymore but their forum is pretty active.

Of the skin care forum's I've visited, this one is the most informative & it is one of few where there are relatively few people making fraudulent 'buy my miracle product' posts. I've gotten some great advice here.

No, my computer does not take me there.
It used to but I have not been able to find it.
Looks to me like it's gone.

This was a skin lightening group on yahoo.
Yahoo has chat forums.
I used to get e-mail alerts when someone posted in the forum.
The last one I see is in March. I used e-mail that I don't use daily.

i am a member but most members don't post because the moderator has to approve EVERY single message which could take 2 days to see ur post.

Oh I would quit that site then. Whats the point of a forum if you have to have every post approved? That would be a waste of time to me-

I guess that is why sites like SCT do so well-

Skincaretalk emerged from a Yahoo group.
Well good thing they changed their way then. I would never post and wait for it to be approved. Whats the point in a forum if that were the case. Totally not necessary, there are plenty of other sites out there!!

Yep, that's how I found this group.
Right on the front page of the brighterskin group was a link to this one.
I thought this was a sister site to chat about other subjects besides skin
lightening.

I had no idea every message needed to be approved before posting.

When did that start? Before you didn't even have to be a member of the group to look at the post then the mod set it to private and you had to join in order to look around.

I remember when this group started too. There was hardly anyone here to
chat with and I would came back and check from time to time. All of a sudden everyone started to chat all at once it seems.

Good bye brighterskin then....
What shame he drove the group into the ground like that.

I guess maybe they do it to prevent spam. Yahoo groups that are not severely moderated turn are heavily spammed, with much of the spam being pornographic.

I've been apart of that group for years and never seen any spammers.
Only trouble makers were kicked out.
Groups that I have seen full of spam are the abandoned groups.

I've looked around at some other groups but too many of them are ill informed & ill advised. The quality posts I saw here were a breath of fresh air w/o the unnecessary rudeness & sarcasm apparent on other sites.
