Hi Everyone,
I'm 43 and a mother of 3 very young children,so am trying really hard to stick to a skin care regime,I,ve got combination skin and would be prone to the odd spot or two.My skin around my eyes is becoming quite loose and i would be prone to dark bags.I prefer to try natural products as much as possible,Has anyone any advise on tried and tested products that really work and that don't break the bank balance.I live in N.Ireland so need advise on web sites I can order off or can be bought in the UK

You really ARE a busy bee with 3 young ones! Maybe it's iron-poor blood!! Have you tried any greens, like kale, spinach, mustard, or, raisins! are a great source of iron and kids love them too!
Needless to say, but you probably don't get much sleep either, do you honey?
Do you get plenty of fresh water, and fresh air?
I would sure try the basics like that before launching into a skincare overhaul. What are you using now? Do you want to make some simple natural products at home?
Welcome, and we are all here to help each other so let us know what you need!

Cyndi, one thing I keep harping about on this board is vitamin C serum - the kind you make yourself. It's great for clarifying and smoothing the skin and there is evidence it helps prevent further damage to the skin. A good broad spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 and a high ppd is a given.

You can order the ascorbic acid crystals online (see the Recipes thread for sites carrying them) and add some to distilled water in a 1:2 ratio for a basic C serum. Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant and exfoliating agent.

good luck Cyndi!

Hi Cyndi

This is really strange (having just joined this site) but having come out of hospital, I thought I had really aged, especially around the eyes, which seemed to me to be quite puffy with dark circles underneath.

A friend recommended these green eye pads that are called eye slices. I got them on the internet and have found them really good. My eyes look and feel so much better and this, in turn, makes me feel better in myself.

I would certainly recommend them. The website I used was eyeslicesverve.co.uk

Good luck!
