dont forget that after when you colour hair with henna it coats the hair shaft rather than penetrating it so anything you do to it afterwards colourwise is affected. this is okay if you keep using henna forever but if you choose to bleach hair or use a chemical dye for example then it would not work effectively due to the henna.

for example if i go get highlights added to my hair i am always aked if i have henna on my hair as its dark red. this is the explanation my hairdresser gave me so i always bear it in mind now. although id love to use henna as its natural.

has anyone used walnuts to darken their hair btw? apparently they create a dark brown tint to the hair and eally help with the greys? i think you boil black walnut shells with rosemary herb and make a decoction.
