Ah- this is what I wanted to let you guys know...... one thing I really like is the Trish mcEvoy eye brightner pencil. Its like a little chubby pink crayon that really brightens my horrible eye circles and I can apply it during the day over my concealer for touch ups. (it only comes in one color- shell) So far that has been one of my faves. I also use lancome Flash retouche brightener like a concealer.(Similar to YSL touche eclait which is way overpriced) Nothing works 100% but if you can get decent results without it looking cakey and nasty, then I'm down with that.

For circles, try a supplement of magnesium & Vitamin K (Jamieson brand is good). It helps solve the problem from the inside & prevent recurrance.

Avon Anew Clinical Eyelift has two parts to it. Orange gel for above eyes - white cream for undereye. I have had dark circles since I was a tiny kid - and the white portion of this cream reduced them by about 50% I reckon.

I'd buy just the white cream part on it's own - don't rate the orange gel bit!

Which one? What did she like about it? What are the actives?
Fawnie- I don't know much of the ingredients but I know she used channel eye cream. She even kept it in the refrigerator to keep it cool. Visit Channel cosmetics counter and enquire about it. This product removed all her dark circles. hers was really really dark brown. Google it and see if you can come up with it, it has a black lid with clear bottle, the cream color is light brown. hope you find it.

I have not tried Clinique, but I personally use Total Eye Care SPF15 by Dermalogica. It's an eye cream that has a pink-ish tint to it, which helps hide circles. It also has Lactic Acid to smooth fine lines, and lots of calming ingredients to get rid of puffiness. I also appreciate the SPF15, which helps prevent future problems. Hope that help!

Soy rice peptides? What are those? What cream contains a sufficient amount of them? Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I'm a male in my mid 30's I've had dark circles from a very young age and was so aware of it I started using makeup to cover it up. I'm pretty used to them now but I am interested in anything I can do to help. Mine are so dark almost like black eyes, I still use concealer its a bit embarassing but I dont think anyone knows.

I will try some of the things people have suggested.

I was wondering if the skin lightening products work on the face would it be possible or advisible to use them under the eye too?

thanks.

Your circles may not be melanin! See a doctor to run tests to rule out different causes of circling. You might need a vitamin or dietary change. Check first; it'll save you from possibly being sorry later.

At the age of seventeen, Christina Onassis was the daughter of the billionaire Aristotle Onassis, she had plastic surgery to shrink her nose and remove the dark rings under her eyes. I wikipedia.org because I do recall seeing her in a documentary on TV and her surgery was a success. I'm trying to find out about this surgery, couln't find anything! Maybe someone in here is an expert about finding things on the net!

I remember that! She was really...how can I say this nicely...plain. Her circles were caused by heredity (Check Aristotle Onassis' eyes as a young man. Huge circles!). She had some sunkenness (which causes shading effects & some loose skin. She had her under eyelids lifted & possibly fat transfered in to fill the hollowness. Getting her nose done also reduced the circles because the high lumpy nose made her eyes seem even more sunken. If your circles are caused by hollowness, then getting fat transfers can be a safe, effective & relatively cheap alternative.

Is this a greek thing, dark circles? I can understand the father, but a little girl?
Poor her, I saw pictures, when she was only 5 and had those really dark circles already.

'An elephant asked a camel, why are your breasts on your back?' 'Well,' said the camel, 'I think that's an inappropriate question from somebody whose dick is on his face.'

LOL, Mariepop! Good one.

I don't know if it is a Greek 'thing' so much as it is an Onassis thing. There are many Greeks people in my area & they definitely do not have hideous circles. Many of the young women are gorgeous & the young men are attractive too. I think it was a family trait. Even after all the surgety, she was still quite plain.
