Dehydrated skin

I am looking for remedies. Anything that helped anybody.

I have already tried drinking more water, Glycerin + Water (does not work over time or in low humidity), Hyaluronic Acid (Doesn't help just plumps up my skin and makes things worse)

Is there anything out there that will help?

Any methods?

I have used too many harsh cleansers and I think that stripped my skin of it's natural barrier.

Anyone know how to build it back up? Or Fix it?

thanks and God bless

I would go for facial products designed for dry skin. Make sure they don't contain oil though because there are crap products on the market. Keep that up with proper water intake and nutrtion and give it six to eight weeks.
drink lots of water
try using a light olive oil it seems to rebalance the skin
Hi lethargy
All good advice has been given here, and you are doing right with the water and hyaluronic acid. But you may be interested in the basics for dry skin:

Humidifying the air might help too, since the cold dry winter air sucks the life out of us.

Or, are you saying that your skin is ALSO dehydrated in addition to being oily? That can happen too.

Hi lethargy11,
I have this problem too and recently saw a Dermalogica skin care therapist who said it takes 2 months of drinking 2l of water a day before you will see any difference (I'm not quite there yet so waiting to see) and after my 'face mapping' she said that my skin had become sensitized, which is probably due to all those acne products I have used over the years and not enough moisture being put back in. She has prescribed me their skin hydrating masque and active moist cream, but have been told it could take up to 3 months for my skin to show any improvement. Maybe you could go for some skin mapping and/or invest in some products like Dermalogica that dont have any harsh chemicals in. Can I ask, does your skin feel tight?

Omega3 can help as well as a balanced vitamin/mineral supplement.
Staying away from hot showers/baths too.
Virgin organic cold-pressed coconut oil is something that helps me. I apply it while skin is still damp.

i have found that this works wonders: just go to acne.org and then go to the diet/holistic blogs and then go to the "not washing my face for a month"
don't let those people trick you out of your money and/or worsen your problem
