Has anyone tried DHC, it is from Japan and is a mail order product. they use olive oil as their main ingredient. I want to buy some and tempted to buy their eye cream, but i want to know if anyone have used it before?
If Olive Oil is their main ingredient, then you need to have pretty normal skin to start with. If your skin is dry or dehydrated or prone to breakouts then you don't need to use it. Olive Oil basically in a short definition is a barrier protector, it sits on top of the skin allowing nothing in and nothing out. It is not going to help with the hydration of your skin because this product cannot penetrate past the stratum.
ya i read that it is a direct mail company from Japan. I just bought the Deep Cleansing Oil. I didn't know that olive oil acts as a barrier protecter, I learn something new everyday. I wonder if it will leave my skin feeling oily but i imagine it will be smooth, who knows
Glimp,
DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil is their best product, IMO. I use it to remove water-resistant sunscreen and sweat. It has emulsifiers that help it rinse off and it leaves the skin clean and soft. The Washing Powder is interesting too - handy for travel.
Another vote for the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. Works great for removing makeup and sunscreen. It's HG for me; I buy 3-4 bottles at a time. I order from their website. I think they have a US location for their website/shipping.
They have a distribution center in San Francisco, CA. Maybe in UK too, since they are popular worldwide!
I've tried other Deep Cleansing Oils (not the same as the Oil Cleansing Method - which is just castor oil, olive oil, etc without emulsifiers to make it rinse off cleanly). I tried Fancl and Laventine, but I like DHC best. Leaves my skin smoother and softer.
Thanks fawnie i think may be the whole caster oil thing is too strong for my face at the mo i have noticed especially with the lev 6 of the green cream my face is extremely flakie so am taking it easy with this at the mo anyway, till i get me lev 3 brought over, but il def look into their products, il let ya know what i think though, thanks!
I did hear/read that the same DHC company are now considering integrating the Mangosteen into the mix.
So is the Mangosteen really the best thing that has happened to skin care?
I should add that too. I was using Laventine (formerly known as La Vitton) cleansing oils prior to trying DHC. The normal/dry or the Olive Forte did not rinse off nearly as well as the DHC.
I received their catalog several months ago and they included samples. I tried the Velvet Skin Coat. The texture is silky and non-greasy and does assist with making the skin look smooth.
I have used DHC and I found the foundation primer to be great. My large pores were diminished and my makeup went on smooth. However, I haven't used many primers to compare DHC to,so it may be average I can't say, Sorry.
I have used the cleansing oil, the extra night moisture cream and their clear soap, and I really like it all. The only reason I don't anymore is because I make some of my own stuff to save money!
I agree that their Cleansing Oil is a wonderful product. Really gets all makeup/sunscreen off and rinses cleanly. I always follow it up with a gel cleanser or cleansing bar, though.
I also like their Concentrated Eye Cream and Imperial Green Tea Shower Gel.
