Hello!

I found this site while searching for info about & others' experiences w/ melasma and sun damage.

I've decided to try a DIY approach instead of being bound to my aesthetician.(I went to one for a while in the '90s but quit because back then for me, darker=sexier.)

This time, I've started doing a combo of glycolic peels, 2-3% hydroquinone, a sepiwhite gel, and religious sunscreen use. Back 'on the wagon' only since the end of July, I already see a wonderful difference!

I'm not sure what took me so long to realize how uneven and patchy I'd become. A reformed sun worshipper (with naturally brown skin already, go figure... ) for years, there was no such thing as too dark for me!. That habit plus the melasma after having children made for too many old layers. lol!

I'm on the cusp of 40 too, so I'm sure this factors in my skin condition alarm.
Hopefully checking in here will keep me more conscious of my skin health. I look forward to sharing and learning!
