Just be careful when signing up for a freebie (just pay shipping). Read the small print, some will ship a "free" sample and then 15 days later you will be charged the full price of the product because you did not return the sample because it wasn't suitable before the 15 days (stupid -- how are you supposed to receive the sample, try it, and return it within 15 days -- sometimes it takes 5 days to get to Canada). The if you miss that you are shipped the product automatically every 30 days on their auto ship program. Try getting all this sorted out on your credit card.

That site you posted looks okay and legit... but like Mari said, be skeptical about the companies that have some flashy ad for free trials.

Good points guys!!

SkinCareCentral's samples are not free - you buy them - but they are smaller and cheaper than full size. You can try them cheaply before springing for the more expensive size.

The Avene Emulsion SPF50+ is a great sunblock..it doesn't make your foundation look cakey either. Very lightweight but it has PPD of 20 so it's a good UVA/UVB block.
They have a good 15% vitamin C + ferulic acid cream to try too.

I like that buying samples instead of paying retail for the full product its nice to try it for a cheaper price to see if it works.

Do you buy products off this site is it safe and reliable? I saw they have this sunscreen in sample size I want to order it to try it. I just want to make sure its a safe and reliable site before I order anything with my credit card. Just trying to be safe

I love the New Beauty Testtube. You get a new tube every four months and it is filled with deluxe sized sample of really good, top of the line products and there is always one or two full sized products. I think it is about $30 for each tube. It is a great way to satisfy my need to try new things and I have found some great products that I wouldn't have tried otherwise. Also with each test tube, you get a $25 credit on your next purchase. In my last tube there was a .33 oz tube of IS Clinical's Youth complex that sells for $55.

I have read studies about Avene Emulsion SPF50+ that state it is safe. It is a hybrid chemical/physical sunblock. It contains Tinosorb which is approved in Europe, but not USA yet. Tinosorb adds stability to the ingredients so they don't break down and form free radicals. If you google "Tinosorb" you can read about it and find some studies.

If you are extremely concerned about safety, then a purely physical ss would be good. Keys Soap makes a good one. It's sold at InterNatural, Natural Herbs, Supplements and Vitamins, Natural Products, Unique Gifts and I believe there are samples available too.

One thing to watch for with samples is that there's generally enough product in there for one or two applications, and your skin may break out or have a reaction to one application, but a second or third use may not have the same effect.
Everyone's skin is different, and sometimes your skin may take awhile to get "used" to a product.

I haven't had a problem with them. If you have any doubts, why not buy one of those one time use cc that you find in stores, like Walmart, etc. That way they can't run charges thru other than the one you authorized.

Or PayPal has a plug in you download to generate a different # each time you use it.
