Am I in the right place to post this?

Has anyone used these?

I'm currently using the Ardell Brow and Lash Growth Accelerator - and seem to be getting some increase in length and thickness of eyelashes, and some brow re-growth.

Today, I received some Mavala Double Lash, and will be using that as well - doing one appilcation in the morning with the Ardell and at night, one with the Mavala.

Reviews for all types of eyelash/brow stimulators seem to be overwhelmingly positive on Makeupalley, and I'm prepared to slog it for at least another month (have been going one month already!) probably going to the three month mark to see what happens.

There's still mixed reviews about lash growth accelerators -- they were taken off the market for a while now they seem to be part of every cosmetic line. I bought Skinn Cosmetics Lash extender and gel conditioner -- I still use the gel conditioner but stopped the Lash extender since I read that some women found that hair was growing just above their eyelid. I don't think I'd want a double set of lashes. I'm trying the Lash extender on the inside of my elbow for a month to see if there is any strange reaction.

Ha, ha, ha, Mari - that's a scary image!

The controversy was primarily with the prostaglandin-based products. This is an ingredient in some eyedrops used for glaucoma, and it was found that one of the main side effects is darker, thicker eyelashes. This led to usage in some eyelash growth products, but concerns over safety led to its withdrawal.

Since then alot of products have been introduced by companies using all natural ingredients. They are expensive but some are reporting excellent results.

Last fall I used one by B. Kamins ("Eyelash Fortifier") and it made a remarkable difference in my lashes. It cost about $94 (Canadian) but I needed/wanted to boost my lashes in anticipation of the winter which tends to be harsh for my hair in general. My lashes are still in good shape six months later and so I haven't needed to use it since - so I am satisfied with the results.

Well I haven't got another set of eyelashes on my arm yet, and Health Canada is pretty rigorous in approving cosmetic ingredients -- so maybe I was over -reacting. I wanted to use the product because I have allergies and even with water proof mascara I end up looking like a racoon. The gel I love -- it gives a silky texture to the eyelashes.

I'll start reusing the product again and report back. Thanks for the insight.

Want! I'll add this to my list! So much for my "simple" routine, eh?

I'm using revitalash for the past 3 days, too early to tell, I lost a few eyelashes a few months ago, I think I was using the waterproof mascara for too long and it damaged my lashes.....I will keep you posted on the progress if any?? Any one tried the revitalash??

Chelsie - I started a thread on this same subject last November under "Basic Skin Care" which you might find interesting (do a search on "Eyelash Conditioners" which is what I called the thread). Sorry I don't know how to do links within this website - so I copied a comment on Revitalash for you below.

"Hi, I suggest RevitaLash Eyelash Conditioner. In just three to four weeks, you get thicker and fuller lashes. Yeahh.. It actually makes the lashes grow. You just have to apply it once a day! Try it to believe the results!

One more thing, you will probably have to give any product a couple of weeks to see real results. The product that I used (see my post above, #4) was great but it took awhile - probably 3-4 weeks - to do the job. All the best to you.

I left-click on the address in the bar above and drag the mouse back to highlight it and then click on "Edit" then on "copy" and then click again on the space I want it to go and click "paste". Does that sound right? I have a Mac though so it might be different for you.

I would be too scared to put anything too close to my eyes! I think I would better stick to fake eyelashes than appyling growth serums to my own!!

For those interested, I have heard castor oil is good for hair growth, and some people do apply this to their eyelashes to make it grow but I can't say for sure if this works.

Hi, This is my first post, I'm glad I found this site. I've been using StimLashFusion, it's an intensive night conditioning lash enhancer I bought at Shoppers Drug Mart,(Canada) for $99.00, you apply it like eyeliner on top lid. I've noticed a difference as my lashes were almost non existant, and after about a month, I've noticed lashes I never knew I had. They are short still, but I'm still using the product. It does state that if you stop using it the effect will stop also. Very interested in reading everyone elses views on these products.
