just read that garlic helps with acne!!... eating them and/or rubbing it gently on the skin. . . or taking garlic pills. . . helps with scars too.
google it!!
Garlic is good for roses too. It has side effects -- use too much of it and it will keep people away from you. Frankly I get ill and hives even if I eat a tiny bit. Whatever works for you -- go for it.

Garlic is anti-bacterial and contains sulfur, both factors help acne prone skin and that is probably why it works. There are luckily more efficient and agreable ways to add this to your skin care routin. Many skin care products contain clays with sulfur, most common in masks and scrubs but also some moisturizers. Essential oils from plants like sage, tea-tree and coleus forskohlii (an Asian medicinal herb) have a much stronger anti-bacterial effect than garlic. Even plain chamomile tea can be very use full in skin care against acne but also for dry skin, and with a much better fragrance.

Hmm.. sounds good rose! I must admit I do put a lot garlic in my foods when I cook but it doesn't really help with my acne scars or spots. I will try applying them on my problem areas!!

You're so right about how people won't want to come near you with garlic odor, neither will mosquitos. It's an excellent repellant in more ways than one

But as far as acne, garlic will supply the skin with Vitamin C & B6. It can also reduce inflammation.

Eminence Organics has an acne masque that contains both garlic and tomato. (May be nice on top of spagetti also, just kidding!) It's healing, Clarifying and anti-blemish benefits are great for restoring balance, and rejuvenating the skin. And best of all, the garlic used in the product is odorless!!
