Why don't you do the Vit C in the AM and the Glycolic in the PM and avoid the chance.

I do think it might be a bit to much for both in the AM, unless you have a leather face-which I am sure you don't-
or if the Glycolic is a very low percent you might be ok.

the plan has been that I use vit C serum in the am and renova in the pm and I read that glycolic acid w/renova/retin a will boost the retin a effectiveness

I read that if AHA is applied 30 to 60 minutes after Retin-A at night, that it will act in synergy with the Retin-A, and actually push it further in the skin. I've done it, without any ill effect.

The reason AHA doesn't work well in conjunction with Vitamin C is because the C needs a pH of 3.5 or less to penetrate, and for AHA the pH requirement is more about twice as high.
