I am new on these boards, but quickly realized, after reading alot of posts about different skin care products and various conditions, that I needed to add an exfoliating agent to my regime.
I live in Toronto and went to my local Shopppers Drug, where we can buy such things here, and selected a Neostrata product - Daytime Smoothing Cream (glycolic acid 10%). The directions just say - "apply daily prior to sun exposure." That's it. The insert that came with it just advertised the rest of their product line. I would have expected a little more guidance on how to properly use this one for what they charged me for it ($36).
Anyway, have any of you used this or a similar product?. My intent was to use this before applying my other skin care products (which are mostly anti-aging, anti-wrinkling sorts at this point). My thinking is that by getting rid of dead skin these other products have a better chance of getting where they need to be in order to work as they should. Does this sound right? And do I have to use it daily or is every other day alright? And can makeup be applied over it (not that I wear much of it)? Thanks for your input.
