Do you have any cocoa butter? It's one of the oldest remedies for scarring. I used to be a Pharma Rep, and a surgeon once told me take cocoa butter and rub it along the length of the scar daily. He said he saw the best results with that versus other treatments (he was not a plastic surgeon, but a surgeon all the same). I'd go further to add some emu and lavender if you have them, and even some helichrysum essential oil.
In fact, you just reminded me that I have to make something for a friend of mine who had surgery recently on his neck, but they went in through his throat and he has a big scar right across his neck now.
I once had a pot full of boiling oil splatter in my face...it totally freaked me out thinking I'd have all these dotted scars on my face forever. I immediately applied emu oil and laveder several times that day. The next day, they were all GONE.
Everyone should keep a bottle of emu with lavender in their fridge, it is the best treatment for burns, and works best if applied immediately afterwards.
