I used 3 different products (I'm currently in the third trimester) and have not gotten stretch marks although it's genetic and I should have by now. There are also other women who swear by the products. I used Mary Kay's CelluShape system (it's a lotion in the mornings and gel at night), Mary Kay's Extra Emollient Night Cream twice a day, and the Visibly Fit Body Lotion. Not only did it help with those pesky veins that come out during pregnancy but also has preveted stretch marks and my best friend used it after birth and hers went away.

I do not know how well they work but they have a cocoa butter based stretchmark oil at your local Walgreens/CVS/etc.
I hear cocoa butter overall is good for stretch marks.

Stretchmark creams/remedies only work while the stretchmarks are fairly new. The way to tell this is if they're still a pinkish color. If they're white, then they're too old and unfortunately there's nothing you can do

The key is to catch them in time. Hope this helps!
