Just wondering, for instance, if you put aloe gel (straight from the plant) on your face and let it dry, would you be good to then go ahead and do something else like use toner afterwards?

I guess aloe gel is used as a moisturiser. I believe u should tone skin first, then use the aloe vera gel.
Pls ask the others for their thoughts too.

Hi ya If you have dry skin I would tone my face as this can dry skin out even further!! Sorry have no idea about aloe vera gel, try googling it for now!!

It depends totally on what you're trying to apply on your face. A heavier product will take longer to soak into the skin e.g aloe vera gel as compared to a thinner product say a toner.

I think that's because it just so happens that is the proper sequence of application. If you're sunprotection was light and watery and you're moisturiser was thick, I'm pretty sure you'd still apply sun protection last, as it should be on the top layer of the products that you apply to your skin anyhow.
