does anyone know of any ways of finding out what skin type you are? as i went to a dermalogist cost £120

only to be told just wash with aveeno and moisterise with it when i asked her my skin type she basically wanted me to answer do you think your oily or dry? she asked me so i never really got an answer! so a dermo s out anyone know of any other ways of finding out would be greatfull to know thanks gert

Hi gerty71,

when you make faces does your skin feel tight? does it feel tight after you cleanse your face? Does your forehead, cheeks chin feel like there is coating on them after an hour so after you've cleansed your face? If it feels tight- I'd say dry, if it feels like there is a coating I would guess combination, oil-normal skin.

Take all the tests and then compare results. If 4 out of 6 test say that you have sensitive skin for example, than thats probably your skin type.
And I'm sorry to hear that dermatologist wasn't helpful for you.
