they have makeup remover made especially for the eyes. You just dab it on a cottonball and let it soak into the skin for 30 seconds. Once it soaks, you should be able to wipe off the makeup easily.

Try Fancl's Mild Cleansing Oil or Shu Uemura's Cleansing Oil. They are both Japanese brands top models use world wide. I tried both myself, even for hard-to-remove waterproof mascara, it will take all the color down without over-drying your eye area. These cleansing oils are also suitable for the whole face. I highly recommend it.

Something with mineral oil in it, Chanel Eye Makeup Remover, Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils or just about any Cleansing Oil from Kose till Shiseido. Cheapest way would be Johnson's Baby Oil. Mineral oil dissolves makeup better than anything, even better than silicones, and you can easily wash it of without rubbing.

makeup remover won't work, it'll hurt the lashes for lack of oil. go ahead and get some lotion like Felon said and put it on a cotton pad and rub through lashes keep your eye closed until it's removed enough for you, and repeat on other eye, wash thoroughly because it tends to stay on lash and burn the eye!

waterproof mascara is only good for funerals LOL use regular!

Think I might give baby oil a try, the gatineau makeup remover i use doesn't seem to work on a regular mascara although I was told it can remove eye make up too. think might have damaged the eye corner skin due to heavy rubbing : (
