Hydroquinone not dissolving

Hello All,

I have been struggling with formulating my own crème with hydroquinone powder for skin bleaching. I use to use nadinola but the formula change has forced me to make my own. I have tried everything from dpg, ethanol alcohol and water to dissol myhydroquinone but after mixing the semi melted mixture it still turn back to powder. I’m at a loss for words. Making your own bleaching crème with hydroquinone shouldn’t be this hard. Please, any tips are welcomed.

Hydroquinone powder (commonly used for photography) is dangerous to use and mix in your own solutions. All of those mixing agents you mentioned also sound harmful to your skin. HQ is a strong chemical substance and unless you are a chemist I strongly discourage you trying to create a homemade concoction. You will damage your skin. I’ve seen many people who have. Sorry but with that in mind, I don’t have any advice on creating a mixture. My best advice is for to go to your doctor and get a prescription for high strength HQ cream if you can afford it. I have one for 12% and it is great for fading scars. It is a controlled substance and mixed in the lab by chemists, dermatologists, and scientists. Quality and safety in your products will get you results.

Thank you for your input.
I'm having the exact same experience too. When I tried boiling it, it went to an orange, pinkish texture and still didn't melt.
Yes, it is so frustrating. I wish there was someone that knows how to work with hydroquinone. I have pretty bad hyperpigmentation and I need to clear up some marks.
