Yup, I finally did it I just spent $235.04 on skin care. Is that crazy or what?! The truth is I was desperate and sort of forced. I was desperate b/c I am sooo confused on what's best or not-so I wasted a big chunk of money just to buy starter kits that ended up being a BIG waste or disappointment. I was also waiting on samples of both the lines I just invested in and they never came. On the advice of someone here I have only been washing my face and using nothing else just to help clear up the irritation and small blemish problem. So I just bought The Complete Skin Care System from Kimberly Sayer of London and the 5 Day Detox Kit For Stressed Skin from Skyn Iceland. So You will be getting my full report as time goes on. Wish me luck on my new skin care adventure.

Hi Bad cat. I don’t think your crazy, so don’t second guess yourself. One problem with a lot of people is they will try a sample from a skin care line and when they don’t see an immediate result they move on, and on, and on. In most cases to see any noticeable benefit, you need to follow the directions and give a product a try for at least 2 weeks if not 3, than you will start seeing the results.

With regards to purchasing the Complete Skin Care System – it is also good to use base products from 1 line. Products are formulated to individually, but also part of a regimen. I am a bit biased when it comes to Kimberly Sayer of London – first, it’s one of our best lines we carry and I also have the pleasure of knowing Kimberly, who starting next month will be writing a monthly skin care column in our Tips & Advice section on the site. (I won’t add the link to the site unless asked), but since the only products we carry are all natural and organic, it’s a great way to compare different product lines.

A great product for you is Kimberly Sayer – Botanical Astringent (skin types: oily / acne prone) Contains Essential Oils to deep cleanse the skin and dry up acne and blemishes. Minimizes enlarged pores and diminishes oily surface shine by calming overactive sebaceous glands. Also I’ve heard nothing but good things about Skyn Iceland, although we don’t carry the line. I’m interested in getting your full report! Hope this helps – best, Mike

Thanks for understanding Mike
I actually only bought the Skyn Iceland 5 day kit to detox my skin while I wait for my full sized Kimberly Sayer system to arrive (5-7 days). I am soooo excited I can't wait. You're right about the samples but w/me I know immediately if I like something right away or not.

I so far have only invested in what I've liked-that's why I mentioned that those other kits were disappointments, never order or buy full size unless I am totally sure and know I am willing to invest that kind of money. I stick w/it until I feel the line no longer is addressing my particular needs.

I used Suki's Naturals for three years and loved that product the whole time. I actually bought the kit (which is silly teen tiny little bottles maybe a 1-2 time use) and I was convinced from that moment. I'm a few years older now and my skin has different needs. So believe me I have been searching and researching until these 2 lines were highly recommended by my on-line buddy Lisa over at b-glowing.com.

And yes I would like the link to find out more about using her products or just taking care of my skin in general. I think it's a great idea to have somewhere to go and read about products that are good for us.

Thanks again Mike

Awww....I know it's nerve racking spending that kind of money. Do they offer a refund policy if your skin doesn't react to them....or should I say does have a reaction?

Other than that....have fun and hopefully they work out great.

Do keep us updated!

Hope they work for you and definitely like Kelly said - that if they don't they have a Money back guarantee on them.

It can be confusing at times - should I try this, how about that. I definitely believe in kits because as Mike said, although they will work independently, they should WORK fantastically as a whole.

Do keep us posted.

Well, I didn't look into that part. My hands were shaking when I made the purchase last night. But I told myself I'd stick to the system as long as it didn't harm me in any way (reactions of any kind). As for the Skyn Iceland yes I can return it I got it at Sephora.

Yeah, I was almost having an anxiety attack. The man gave me a nice chunk of moolah to help pay for some of it but it still felt like I should be spending the money on my kids or something. I guess it's partly the guilty mommy syndrome too. The husband encouraged it though. He says he knows how much skincare means to me.

Bad Cat, stop seconded guessing yourself, I?m confident that you?ll like the Kimberly Sayer line ? we did a lot of research before deciding to carry the line? so just stick with it.

I?m also glad that you like Suki?s Naturals, it is one of the lines that we are interested in, so it?s always great to get first hand opinions ? which is what this forum is all about.

Here is the link to my site upurea - natural and organic haircare, skincare, bodycare and home fragrance there?s the Tips & Advice section - next month will feature Kimberly Sayer?s column and we will also be adding columns from founders behind other brands, which I think is something unique.

If you go to the shop section you can easily compare all the all natural and organic product lines. Everything is set up in a consistent format: product type, skin type, description, directions and ingredients. There?s also an ingredient section (not completed) which will allow you to easily search for an ingredient and its benefits.

Please use the site as an information tool and I?m always looking for input. Hope this is useful - Mike

Aagain thanks Mike. I'm not worried about using the line it's just that when you buy something w/out smelling it or touching it-it's like flying blind. I am one of those people who like to touch and feel and smell things. It's all in fun. Trust me I am not regretting or second guessing my purchase-I appreciate all of your support in encouraging me that I made the right choice w/this line.

I really enjoyed using the Suki's Naturals for the time period that I did. In fact my sister and mom love it too and are still using it. For me personally I just thought it was time to move on. I still love the line though and recommend it highly. I will visit that link you posted-Thanks

If any of you are wanting to spend big bucks on fancy products.... Dr. Perricone is an excellent purchase! I do mean EXCELLENT!!!!
Sorry....but I beg to differ. His products were to harsh for my skin....made my skin raw. Maybe some can use it and love it....but I sent it back and asked for a refund.

Although, please note, that was my experience....others may love it.

Ok Mrs. Kelly...lol... I have a question for you......what were you intentions when you bough his products. For example, to heal acne, fine lines and wrinkles, skin renewal, etc. You might of been sold a product that you didn't need for your skin type. What did you get of his products??

This is true.

It was about a year ago, so I can't quite remember. I remember it was to heavy for my skintype too....but I can't remember the exact names of what I bought or what for. Last summer I was battle acne, so it could have been something for acne....so that may be why it was too much for my skin. Most acne products are.

Kelly, what skin type do you have??
My signature shows my skin type. Hyper oily/sensitive/acne prone. I do not have active acne at the moment (knock on wood)....just scars now. But back when I tried Dr. Perricone I was dealing with cystic acne. So I think my skin was way too irritated....I finally had to see my derm....a lot of it was hormonal and some bacterial....so we regulated those things and so far so good. Still get the breakouts from time to time....but I can handle that as long as it's not the cystic....man that stuff really bites!

So, yes I'm acne prone/sensitive and very oily. I find my pores clog easily...so I have to keep an eye one what I put on my skin. I also find when my hormones act up, I'll get a break out or if I'm too stressed. My oily skin is calming down....the more water I drink, the better it gets....plus I've been doing some natural remedies too....

I have combination skin w/sensitivities and occasional breakouts that are usually cystic. I have clear skin overall just dealing w/some minor scars and a few pesky breakouts that haven't gone down. Cystic ance usually takes a while to go down and clear up from start to finish and then you're left with a spot to cover up. I do tend to react from mild to severe to any given ingredient. Even when I had used the product before w/no reactions.

I really think that we all have our own opinions though and we need to respect each others preferences. Like Kelly-Dr. Perricone did NOT work for me but I have a friend who swears by it. We are all here to have fun, share and learn

I agree....I love that we can share our opinions...and yes, some things might work for some and not for others....doesn't make that product bad in particular....just not right for that person.
