.1% retin A Should be a clear gel, it shouldn't be green, I wouldn't put that on my face that sounds like bacteria
hehe Thanks. It ended up being the real deal. It just has a green tint to it. I've ordered .1% from 2 other sites and its the always same stuff. I been using it on my face since Dec.2022( after I ran out of .025%). I think I prefer the .025% though. Initially, I started something called 'Melamet' on my face, which is .025%tretinoin, 2% hydroquinone, %.10mometasone furoate IP, but it I wasn't as effective as just using .025% Retin A alone.

I cannot for the life of me find this information anywhere, but here goes: Does MSM prevent tanning? I've read so much on what MSM is good for, and I understand it really helps with making cells more permeable, getting rid of a tan much faster in general, etc, but what about actually preventing a tan from forming in the first place when someone goes out? I've looked everywhere to see if I can find something about this, to no avail.

If not MSM that can help, what other supplement can? I looked into one called Astaxanthin, a supposed 'internal sunscreen' supplement, but all I found is that it helps people not burn under the sun and that's it.

pycnogenol /pine bark extract prevents tanning , yes astanxantin as well
Msm not really in my opinion but if you have a significant steady & consistent amount of msm in your system it will definitely help to prevent, supplements do work if you are consistent everyday

Thank you so so much! This was such a nice birthday present for me today to open up and learn something new!
Here in America, I know there's bulk supplies I can get for the pine bark extract, but is it truly the same thing as pycnogenol? I read that they're a bit different from one another, so just wondering. Although, if they work pretty much the same, I'll just go with the pine bark to save a little bit of my money lol.

All I know about my research with MSM is that, after a while and with large amounts of it, it converts the melanin production of eumelanin (black/brown) into pheomelanin (yellow/red). The logic that follows for me, then, is that eventually, it becomes more difficult for the skin to tan, and instead, start burning or unable to stand UV sunlight into it, a lot like with pale blondes and redheads.

Again, thank you so much!

MSM doesn’t do anything significant for the skin. I’ve been hyper dosing it for ages now for its amazing health benefits but no difference to skin….I do apparently have “clearer eyes” though

How many mg of MSM have you've been taking? 😮 I've been researching around about people taking megadoses of it, so just wondering!
Clearer eyes sounds like a dream!

You guys. I’m trying to start my supplements journey, which means I’ve been doing a lot of research to see if my chosen supplements all work well together. So I just looked into the combination of Probiotics and MSM, and even though I didn’t find much on it, I did see a study (don’t know how reliable) that says the combination is a recipe for disaster. Some of the side effects according to the website includes lip swelling, anxiety, Dyspnoea, agitation, alcohol abuse etc.
Like I said, this is the only study/website I could find on this. I really would like to know, so if anyone here has any knowledge on this please enlighten me. I greatly feel like I need both these supplements and I can’t drop one for the other. Here’s the link:
.
I’m kinda desperate for an answer here you guys. I can’t afford to make any mistakes. And also, if they really do counteract each other, is there a hack (like taking them at different times in the day)?

Another big question is, is it risky or safe to take MSM with tap water? Since tap water has chlorine? Just trying to cover all grounds here and start this journey on the right foot.
To answer your first question, do you know what type of probiotic you are taking? Is it something prescribed to you by a doctor? The probiotics I take right now are those natural ones I found in WholeFoods, so I think ymmv.

I would take MSM with filtered or purified water, tbh.

Hi, thanks for answering. The probiotics isn’t prescribed. It’s over the counter. And just basically for gut health. It’s called Probio 20 Komplex by Vit4ever (German brand). Here’s a link in English. Vit4ever Probio 20 complex - culture complex with 20 bacterial strains + inulin - 180 capsules
Also, thank you for the info with MSM. I’ll be taking it with purified water.
Ah okay, I don't think you have anything to worry about tbh, probiotics and MSM are both so very good for gut health. I'd be more worried if either one would counteract with prescribed medications, especially for things like psychiatric issues, blood pressure, contraceptives, that type of stuff, and something you can take up with your GP for extra confirmation.

There's also a drug interactions checker online where you can put the name of your medicine and another substance you are taking, like a vitamin, and check to see if any negative interactions can occur. Here's the link and hopefully this can help you!

I take 1 teaspoon/4,000mg a day, but before I was taking 1 tablespoon/12,000mg.
I had nothing but good effects (except for a headache the first week). My eyes used to be redder before

How long can I use a "mild" exfoliating soap before going for a stronger one? I've started with Likas Papaya soap for gentle exfoliation, and it's working amazingly well, but I'm questioning whether I should stick with it or eventually move to Asantee. I have sensitive skin.

I would stick with it if its working for you. Why fix something that isn't broke.
