Important Questions About Retin-A Micro

Hi. I am a 33-year-old male.

For many years, I used Benzaclin to treat acne on my face and neck.
Benzaclin contains benzoyl peroxide.

Months ago, I started noticing that Benzaclin wasn't working as fast as
Benzaclin had worked before. I thought that my face and neck were getting too used to the Benzaclin.

So, I asked my dermatologist for something new. The doctor gave me
Retin-A Micro (0.04%). I have used the Retin-A Micro every day for the past 11 weeks.

The website for Retin-A Micro states that there will be a temporary increase in the number of pimples. However, it has been 11 weeks, and the number of pimples is STILL higher than it was before I started using Retin-A Micro.

The front of my neck is really bad.

So, what's going on? Does the Retin-A Micro simply not work for me? Should I stop using this stuff and go back to the Benzaclin?

Any advice would be appreciated.

By the way, the Retin-A Micro website that I read is the following:
