I believe I have Rosacea because I have persistant redness in the center of my forehead and on much of my cheeks. I have heard that IPL/photrejuvenation can help with this.

However, one thing is of concern to me in seeking this as a remedy. I recently had a biopsy on my skin to find out was it still capable of tanning given my past use of a skin-lightening cream (Meladerm) in 2006-7 for 7 months. The biopsy results say that there is an almost complete absence of melanin from my epidermis (they tested my forehead - but the lightening cream had been used on my entire face except my ears and upper lip), though there was a normal distribution of melanocytes. The results were described as resembling a condition called idiopathic guttate melanosis.

Presumably then my skin would be more sensitive than normal to light. So is it safe for me to get photorejuvenation, or will it just end up damaging my skin?
