Hi all, I was googling around for various beauty product reviews and found this splendid site, so I'm here to say hello and hopefully to join in.
I'm a 57 year old woman near York, UK, and people have stopped acting surprised when I tell them my age so I guess my chances for improvement are few now. However, some years ago I was frequently complimented on my youthful looks and this led me to doing blind testing of skin creams etc for a couple of magazines and books. At the time, I felt some of the products were quite effective, but then a couple of life-changing traumas made me lose interest in my looks and I haven't bothered much for a few years.
Well, now I think it's time I made some effort. I'm never going to look young again, but would settle for looking OK for my age. The problem is, I don't have the in-depth knowledge of current products and procedures that I used to have, and I'm wary of being fooled by advertisements etc.
One particular concern of mine is that since menopause, facial hair has become a problem so I'll be looking through your past threads for any of your experience with this.
