Kojic acid soap users: Don't use until you read this!

Hello. I've been reading on this forum and I've seen a lot of post from people leaving the Kojic acid soaps on the skin. Don't do that!

Dolls, don't ever leave Kojic acid soap on for longer than 60 seconds on the face or body. That is asking for PIH!

Think of Melanocytes as sleeping kids. You do not want to wake them or they will be cranky and crying. The same with our skin. If you aggravate those Melanocytes with any soaps or creams they will awaken and send out even more melanin to make you DARKER.

Pls be advised and take caution when using these soaps. They are very strong and can do harm if not used correctly.

Always remember the 60 second rule.

hmm...30 seconds stopped being enough for me after the first go round. I know kojic acid can lighten the skin but I mainly use it as a daily exfoliator. There are harsher acids, which I use for chemical peels, where its instructed to stay on your skin for several minutes. I would say those acids aggravates melanocytes much more and would quickly make the skin darker, when exposed to sunlight, if it wasn't followed up by adaquate moisturizing and, eventually, skin lightening products.

Yes of course, glycolic acid will instantly turn darker skinned individuals darker as that ingredient aggravates the skin because the molecular structure is smaller and can penetrate deeper!

Lactic acid is good because it's larger molecule and it doesn't aggravate as much

As far as the Kojic acid I'm confused. My post says 60 seconds

You say 30 stopped being enough for you so that means you needed more time right?

60 seconds is really an ideal time. Not too little not too much.
