Hi ya, Just wondering if any of you guys have tried any of these products and If so what ones did you like, did they do anything for your skin, and are any of the anti aging products worth while me buying any of them!!?

At the moment Iv also added to my collection of products Is Clinical Serum which Iv heard is meant to be very good, but am just wanting a few ideas for future products, thanks

I tried La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, but it was too reach for my skin. It had some sparkles in it, I guess that's for the 'Luxe' part

I had a few samples, so I had to give the rest to my mum (it was more for mature skin rather than for mine, I'm 28). When I'll be able to afford it, I might give it another try.

Hey listen dont get me lwrong ladys Me poor wallet is gonna feeling the pinch after what I would of spent on cosemetics this month but Im hopping that If I cut right to the good stuff it will save me money in long wrong by hopefully not trying out loads and loads of products, but fawnie I have to say thankyou cause been reading up about all the facial excersises etc you been talking about and they def seem like worth while thing to do, so thanks for the tips on that!!

Skin ceuticals stuff not so sure about! Il def get the Cli stuff though!!

Yeah green creams seemed go though, and def getting retinol cram but however dont think Iwant to go overboard with products so just think will try little bit of stuff at time, thanks for that guys,

Now all I need to do is find some stuff with peptides in it and Vit A, B etc and the old antioxidents and will hopefully be pretty much sorted!! The problem is finding sites that deliver to the UK, so any suggestons would be great?

ps. dont worry bout the slang personally I know what you mean, been watching far too much american tv!!

Hi NY
Boy do I understand about not wanting to waste $$...
I would stick to the things that have been proven by science to work. Here's a link to the straight dope:

Skin Rejuvenation Infopack

You can download any "Infopack" from the site by clicking on the "To Submit a Drug Rating" at the bottom of the page. You can rate any prescription drug you have used to qualify for the "Infopack". It's def worth the trouble. There are other infopacks as well.

Hope this helps you in some way.

Il look into it tomo, but basically am i correct by saying i really need to look into the products ingredients before buying anything rather than product and name of it really!! As long as Im not overloading my face with creams should be alright, hopefully so anyway, was thinking about just doing certain ones one night and then otherones on different night, when i get myself together properly that is,

yeah im finding all the info im learning very helpful so thanks!!

Have a look at my post "Skin Ceuticals products made by another company" here in Anti-Aging section of this forum, you might find it useful (they are based in UK).

I downloaded the infopack. Really great info. Should be required reding for every member here. Products indeed backed by science and not QVC.

Yes Peri, I trust that the person who mods the site Smartskincare.com is trustworthy...he seems to be. He's a derm who apparently does the site in his spare time. There is a forum there as well. Hey! I'm enjoying the Imminst forum too! Loads of info I wasn't aware of there! Thanks!

thanks for that im looking over it now, but have to say a girl can get very confused with everything your meant to do and what products are correct to get. EG. everyone says how Is Clinical Serum is meant to be very good product but they dont have any collegan in its products but apparently this serum help with collegan cells, so what does this mean are you meant to buy the collegan cream separatly, if anyone knows of any good products with collagen, peptides in it and all the good products that you are meant to put into your skin in the bottle please please let us know cause it seems crazy to me otherwise that Im meant to buy all these products separately.

Paul Begon book is meant to be a very good buy too!!

NY,

HaHa! OH yeah! I felt that way too! Just take baby steps and stick to the basics at first.....peptides are way down the list of necessities...start with...sorry I know it sounds redundant but:

Retin-A, vit C serum, sunblock & exfoliate once a week with microfiber cloth. Take your supplements, exercise, rest, plenty of water and a balanced diet.

You don't need every cream out there, or even any of them to start with. See how your skin responds to The Basics.

HTH

Paula's book is kinda controversial...not everyone agrees with her theories on skin care! Take it with a grain of salt!

Glad you like that forum. If I'm gonna live forever, I better not be looking like a prune in the process.
