I have, it's okay but it's a AHA peel. if you dont' really know what you're doing it could be dangerous. I've gotten it done before and it works for me. I have sensitive skin. As for lightening, it may help peel and therefore you have lighter skin, but there are definitely better products out there. I posted on another thread about Dermaesthetics Beverly Hills Formula, USA, Inc. The Colorlite Plus is amazing. I used it in Korea but it's hard to find in America.

I use a couple of drops of lactic and salicylic acid (20%), in my cleanser which is good for acne, those with oily skin. I use it once or twice a week and it really gets rid of stubborn darker areas. I have only tried it on my face. Got it from ebay.
