This is my first post on here but I am not new to forums. I am a mid-twenties male and I started landscaping about 2 months ago. Rrecently I have been getting what look like little blemishes on my legs. Some of them are little whiteheads. I have gotten them on my thighs before during the summer time, but now at work I wear high socks/boots/jeans. It's hot outside and I am sweating all day and I don't get to shower until later. I had read some other posts on this site an others, but I was wondering what I could do short of going to a derm. It didn't bother me too much but in the past few days it has gotten pretty bad on my calves and even around my shin. They can be kind of itchy sometimes. It's really just embarrassing. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
You could be experiencing contact dermatitis, which is a reaction to any chemical, plant, animal, you may come in contact with. You also may just be breaking out because of the sweat and dirt you are coming in contact with daily. Try exfoliating in the shower once or twice a week and see if that helps. You might be allergic to chemicals in the grass, or grass itself. You can try going to an allergist to be tested and you can be put on medication specific to your allergies.
Hi Rich! Some people can experience symptoms like those due to excessive heat exposure. But, don't take any risks and visit your doctor for further details.
