What are some makeup tricks that you know about?

Here are some of mine:

Lining your eyes makes them look bigger?

If you have small lips, the right lip color/moisturization can plump them up?

Any others?

Fat Lashes: Apply mascara, dust with powder(& let dry), apply Macara, dust with powder(&let dry).....repeat.
(Professional advisory: Only do this with mascara you can afford to toss soon (DrugStore brands), as you're introducing traces of powder into the mascara tube.)

"Training Wheels": An old business card is wonderful for putting on mascara. Gently hold it at the base of your lashes while applying mascara, this way you will not get Mascara onto the surrounding Makeup, or skin. I get much better results when I use this method. (from 17 magazine, in the e-a-r-l-y 80's.

remember that lighter color give objects the illusion that it is bigger. so aim for the lighter shade of lipstick. to make eyes look bigger, only line your lids where your iris covers.
I usually line my eyes on the bottoms only from the iris to the outside corner. However I always read that you should be lining the TOP that way. Whenever I do that they look smaller I swear, don't know why?

Use multi-purpose minerals on your lips for a unique lip color that lasts all day. Use a Q-tip to apply the minerals. Smack your lips together. Then put clear lip gloss on over it. This darkens the color of the minerals a little and sets to look like lipstick. My sister did this and a sweet tea and iced coffee later it was still on. It lasted over 8 hours and still looked fresh.

Here's another trick...from Sally Beauty Supply, you can get an eyeshadow base for less than $3. Apply this to your eyelids and let dry before putting eyeshadow on. It helps your eyes to not have a crease and it makes you eyeshadow stay on a lot longer.

A good tip for ensuring that lipstick stays put is to use concealer on clean lips, outline lips with a lip pencil, fill in with lip colour, blot lips with a tissue and re-apply lipstick again. I find that the lip colour tends to last for much longer when this procedure is adhered to.

To make my lips look plumper, I press my lips together tightly THEN line with a nude liner. Feather the line into the rest of the lips with a lipbrush. Blot. Then apply your lipstick with a brush. BLot. Apply sparkly gloss to the center of the lips only.
