Hi,

I have got a few question….

I got a light skin complexion
Got no discoloration on my face…
No bags under my eyes

The only thing I have is that my upper eyelids are darker then the rest of
My face color

My question was, can I use Hydrochinon 5% to make the upper eyelids lighter…
And will it work?

Are there people here that use Hydrochinon for there upper eyelids?

Manny thanks

Danny

5% HQ? What brand is that? Before doing this, I'd ask a dermatologisy why your upper eyelids are this way: it might be fine leaking capillaries beneath the skin & not a pigmentation issue at all! In that case, HQ might even accentuate the problem.

If it turns out to be melanin, I would dampen the lid & use the tiniest drop of HQ4% on each lid being very careful not to get it into the eyes. Since the eyelid skin is very thin, this will absorb well & results will be fast. Then too, your dermatologist might prescribe something designed to be safer near the eyes. Good luck.

Hi Danny - the eye area is very tender - i wouldnt recommend using hq at all, maybe something like a kojic acid dipalmitate. Do see a dermatologist and if you can let us know what he recommends...hope you find a good solution.

I wouldn't risk blindness or some eye disease to lighten a spot that's, usually, seen while sleeping.
