Mascara problems

Ok, I don't know if anyone else has encountered this but ....this bugs the hell out of me.

I have long eyelashes that curl naturally. (Great right?
)

Well my problem seems to be 'oily" eyelids. Unless I buy waterproof mascara, I have a tendency to wind up with a mascara shadow on my lids.

Mac's Zoom Lash out has been more resistant but I'm the kind of person who like to put my face on and "forget about it" very little maintenance. Today's culprit is..... Maybelline's Lash Stylist, I purchased when I was in a fix recently, (I absolutely LOVE the style of the WAND in it, but the tube is on it's way to the trash as soon as I'm done with this post!)

Has anyone else encountered this?

Not exactly that but first I think that maybe you should give yourself a light dusting of a translucent finishing powder. I think that might really help.

Two of my favorites are Transparent Finish by Skin Alison Raffaele and Powder Set by Amazing Cosmetics.

You can find them at: Skin Alison Raffaele - Home Page and Amazing

Sephora.com also carries both-Good Luck!
Wow...hmmm... I haven't heard of that problem yet - but good idea with the powder -- let me know how it goes!
Sephora does have great mascara products, and also carries quite a big line...

Thanks ladies, I had to blow of steam that day.
The dusting of powder works...when I remember to do it LOL. I now keep extra tubes of mascara for when I travel.
My sister bought some mascara once that was like $40 - I think it was Japanese and it comes off in tubes...hard to explain and really weird-like...but I wonder if it sort of hardens around your lashes to form a long lash, which would prevent them from curling back up? Does that make any sense?
I think the mascara you are thinking of is by Blinc - I get it on ebay - they also do an eyeliner. I could never wear mascara because I'd smear it round my eyes and look like I'd been in a punch up but this stuff really works.
Hmmmm....I don't remember that name but could've been.
I think miriamspero is a seller.
did you ever figured out how to prevent mascara from smearing? i hate looking like a raccoon at the end of the day.
apply foundation on your lid before putting on eye makeup. this way even if the mascara bits falls onto your lids, they can be cleaned off easily.
I have encountered it, and the only thing that works for me is to put a little foundation and finishing powder on my lids, before I apply all my eye make up. This fixes the problem for me.
Are you sure you're not using old mascara, because that happened to me, so i bought a new mascara and it stopped smudging.
Hmmm, Oily Eyelids, never heard of that.. Try applying powder(yes, I mean real powder)on your eyelids first then the eye shadow then your mascara. Hope it works, good luck!
I use L'OREAL Voluminous Naturale (in the yellow tube). My MIL recommended it to me. It doesn't smudge and I don't look like a raccoon at the end of the day.
Why don't you try the new BLINC range as they sound perfect for you. It truly does stay on all day and you can remove it with just warm water! They say it forms tubes around your lashes and you can see that when you remove it! Since i purchased a sample i haven't used any of the other mascars i have in my make up bag (and belive me i have around 2o!)
Go on give it a go! you can order a sample online and you will be converted too!
The mascara that is Japanese and comes in tubes is called Fiberwig. I've never tried but have heard decent reviews. In my opinion, what you need is a good mascara primer. Try Lancome CILS XL. You might even want to consider an eyeshadow primer, even though it isn't your eyeshadow that is the problem. I use Urban Decay Primer Potion, I find that my makeup is flawless all day when I wear it. Eyeshadows never crease either which is a bonus

With the primer your makeup stays put until you wash it off. I have even been lazy and left my makeup on till the next morning and it surprisingly looked pretty good.

Yeah that's a good idea! Clinique makes Lash Power, another "tube" mascara that forms tubes around each lash so that it stays til you soften it with warm water and gently pull them off. It really does stay on and doesn't flake or smudge or bleed.

I get oily eyelids, unfortunately and the biggest problem that I see is bleeding eyeliner even with a primer, any suggestions?
I have oily eyelids too!! Wow I thought I was the only one hahahaha

Well look at the bright side, it kind of always looks like you're wearing eyeshadow because it's naturally shiny!

Anyway I have the most luck with Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner, I only sometimes get a tiny bit in my crease but that's better than most other eyeliners which completely move up to my eyelids by the end of the day! As for mascara, I like CLinique.
