....... - the hands are important for me since there is some sun damage due to a lifetime of exposure and too much time unprotected in my youth, I suppose.
mirecka -- I have sun damage on my hands too because of all the gardening I do (plus the outdoor painting I can't get DH to do). I just ordered Strivetin hand cream -- never used the products before but thought I'd give it a try.

On the subject of great creams, Gold Bond Ultimate Restoring Lotion has a lot of good things in it, including vits A, C, E, collagen, ceramides, shea butter, retinol, jojoba, and here's a $1 off coupon:

Gold Bond Ultimate Lotions, Creams and Powder

It's almost too good to be true for a drugstore lotion. Kassy uses this as a base for adding other goodies like Lactic Acid, Glucosamine, CoQ10 and MSM, to name a few.

Mari congrats on being ELITE now

However just a suggestion but can you not wear gloves as well while outside to save your hands a bit too!

Mireckca,

Thanks for the tip about breaking up my posts a bit. It was a bit much wasn't it?

Congrats on losing 60 pounds! I have put a few on since winter so now need to lose about 5 again.

I have sagging skin around my jawline - yuck! I will definitely check out the facial exercises though. Thanks for the advice. I never thought exercises could help!

I was wondering if anyone uses the RoC multi-correctional for eyes? I started using it and have found that it is really helping with the "bags" under my eyes. I drink plenty of water, etc., but I have one persistent eye that just sags. This seems to tighten better than any other I have tried.

Thanks!

Thanks NY.

That would be the sensible thing to do .... says a lot about me doesn't it .... I have been using disposable vinyl gloves when I'm doing "delicate gardening" but they tear easily.

I have great nails when it isn't gardening season -- during the summer they're a mess -- I use gardener's cream -- a sort of pumice and it helps with the skin but not the nails.

Have you seen those FoxGloves for lady gardeners? They are soft but have nubs on the fingers and palms for better wear. Great for the delicate jobs!

Let me/us know how you like the hand cream. I think that I told you earlier that their deep wrinkle serum (HS) did nothing for me - and I used it for several months. Their SD cream is supposed to work vs. wrinkles but has done nothing for me either - but I do use it on my neck and face as a moisturizer and it is good for that.

Strivectin also makes one of those instant wrinkle fillers (WF) that I was thinking of trying for special events/occasions that I need a quick fix, though temporary. Anyone here try it or know someone who has?

Here's the link to the product at Skinstore -

Hi Mireckca
Tried it. All that Sti-Vectin stuff is Caca, as you found out too. Egg white on your face would do as well.

Estee Lauder Perfectionist Power Correcting Patches for Deeper Lines and Wrinkles are great for special occasions when you need to look rested and 18 years old. The technology is interesting: little patches with goo on them and tiny batteries which zap you. Used under the eye area it smoothes and lifts for about 8 hrs. Long enough for Cinderella - it should work for us!

I would think the batteries would have to be fresh, so eBay wouldn't be my first choice to find them. Nordstrom has them though. They are fun! I reuse them, altho they are supposed to be one use only.

I just ordered from alldaychemist.com -- too bad I didn't see this thread here first. I'll have to try this other site the next time I get retin A.

I don't have my ADC order yet, but I'm so glad I found this forum; I'm really happy with the price I paid, and if it wasn't for skincaretalk.com I wouldn't know how to get my retin-A at a reasonable price!

Hi. This thread is really old - since it started Medsmex shut down and when then reopened they hiked up the price of their Retin-A. So you were smart to go with ADC - provided that the quality is okay.

See the discussion on this newer thread - http://www.skincaretalk.com/anti-agi...om-advice.html
My first out-of-the-country order was from Medsmex. I got some lumigan and retin a. I think I had some trouble getting my cc to work at ADC. Since then, ADC has been my go-to for careprost & RA til I got my prescription from my doc and get it for no cost on the Air Force Base.
For me ADC is much cheaper than going through the normal channels to fill my prescription. I would suspect its the same for anyone except those with excellent insurance who can get their prescriptions filled for free.
About to make the order. Can't decide!! I've finally that I really should use Retin-a a few days a week for my sun damage issues, was all ready to order from All Day Chemist. I may go with Super Saver Meds, but haven't decided yet. To be on the safe side I will probably go with MedsMex. Would love to get two tubes in one order though.

I ordered 8x tubes from ADC, the total cost was just over $50. That's around what it was costing to fill my prescription just once, and that doesn't include co-pay for the doctor visit.

I did get a few tubes of .1% Retin-A. I plan on comparing it to the .05% tubes to see which I like best.

My order was shipped a few days ago from ADC, for now it's still in limbo (I expect it to take a few weeks at least to get here from India, we will see).
FWIW - I prefer the base that is available in the Retin A I get from MedsMex. While ADC is cheaper, I could not use the Retin A - due to the base used in their formulation.
What is the difference? (between the base formulas)

Did you have an allergic reaction or a rash (from the base?)
If I recall - the ADC product had an olive ester base. I did not care for the way my skin reacted to that base.
From what I know medsmex sells the renova brand which has a better delivery base that is designed specifically for anti-aging purposes. The kind alldaychemist sells has a base that is not designed for anti-aging purposes, but may well be used for it in any event obviously if the skin can tolerate it. I would just go with Retin-A micro for anyone not sure if their skin will tolerate normal Retin-A.
Still waiting on my medsmex order. Almost two weeks since I ordered. Am going to track it later on.
