Can you tell me the best proven ingredients (without prescription) for dealing with dehydrated skin, stretched pores, and fine/dehydration lines under my eyes and on my cheeks? I have recently started using Environ AVST cream (Vits A,C & E) and their C-Quence Eye Gel, and have ordered SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.5% and some Hydrating B5 gel which has Hyaloronic acid in it. But there's so much info out there on he web it's hard to know what's right for my skin concerns..
To add to this... I am just about to start using Retin-A to improve the fine lines and pores on my skin... will this improve hydration or make it any worse??
Not Carole here, but the Retin-A, in addition to the Skinceuticals Retinol product could dehydrate your skin. The B5 gel should help it, or you could alternate the Retin-A/retinol. You'd use a good sunscreen of course, and could pick one that hydrates, to cut down on the number of products.
Thanx fawnie, I'm currently using a moisturiser which isn't very hydrating, although the Environ rep says vits a,c and e all hydrate... i got a samle of the B5 Gel as it contains Hyaloronic acid so hoping this is best, but don't know what ingredients to go for in a miosturiser for hydrating? SkinCeuticals have 2, Emolience, and Daily Moisture but at £50 a pop they're not cheap to road test!
Will do! I have needed to ask so much advice, so when I have some findings that are useful, will definately post to help others! Do you use any other websites independent product reviews?

Hi,
You can buy sample sizes of skinceuticals products on the internet and they are far more cost effective. Have you tried Jan Marini? she has some of the best skincare products available. I have seen measurable results with Age intervention serum and the C-Ester line. Also take a look at Neostrata, superb results. Hope this helps
