Hello - I look forward to reading comments on skincare. I am 48 and was told by clerk at the local Estee Lauder counter, God takes care of you until you are 18 and then you are on your own...I used Lauder skin care products until about 5 years ago and decided I needed something a bit more serious and started using Cellex C. Last year, I switched to Obagi and have mixed feelings about the results. I think my skin is in better condition, but since moving past the flaking that occurs in the first 30 days or so, I struggle with how best to maintain the condition of my skin. Every day use gives me a consistent reddish appearance. If anyone has used Obagi and has advice on how to use the NuDerm line long-term, I would be interested and if anyone is using other products in conjunction with Obagi, I would love to hear from them also. I have also used Dr. Seabaugh's Azealic mask and love - love it. Bliss also has an oxygen mask that is great. I am thinking about going back to the Lauder skincare line and using a couple of more serious products as a booster...Thanks for reading and I look forward to any and all advice.

Hi fgilliam. I'm new too. I'm not able to help you out with your product issue but I'm sure someone on the forum will be knowledgeable enough. I'm brand new into the skin care field so I'm interested in learning what other will say about your case.

It's nice meeting you.

Hi and welcome to the site! I think the fact that you are mixing products from one line with another, is a good thing... There is not one line ou there that is perfect.I've heard good things about the Obagi (never tried it myself though) and more good words about Lauder products.

Hello,

I would have to say that the redness could e a result of the skin becoming over stimulaed and the desmone cells being removed at a faster pace than the 42 day perfect cell cycle. Our skins actuall perfect ratio for cell renewal is no faster or slower than 42 days as I have heard from great sources in the skincare science industry.

Also a lot of the lauder products are wonderful and some are made from the shiseido labs which is the leader in skin science ( they created Hylauronic acid for skincar in the 60's which is a key moisture binder and is what RESTLANE is. So you know the science is top notch).

Try and weed out one product at a time to see what might be causing the irritation and possibly treat your self to a calming facial treatment at your local spa that has a great reputation for good professional facials.

Are you doing anything different in your make up?

PS: I just saw the most amazing lip gloss today...
Suresh beauty...

You're right gymrat! I just posted without looking and I don't know what it was doing in the introductions?
LOL, I know, sometimes they pop up in the craziest places.
After a certain length of time they should automatically get deleted. Especially, the intro ones.........in my opinion-
