Don't be fooled. Anyone who reads this PLEASE do not use Skin Biology's products. It changed the elasticity of my skin and instead of improving wrinkles, it gives you wrinkles. The skin under my eyes looks terrible compared to before I started using these products.

I am trying to find more people that have used these products and had bad results. Please send me your stories, and photos so I can post them on my website and make more people aware of these dangerous products.

Our skin is so important, and when you use a cream that is suposed to make your skin look better and ends up damaging your skin it is devastating. I can't believe their are people making money off of this kind of thing. Maybe we can shut this company down if enough people come forward with their stories. We need to be heard!!

sorry to hear about your story. What are the ingredients in the products that you used? I really dont think your experience was normal, because if it was then the company would have gone out of business a long time ago. Sounds to me you just had some bad side effects. You never know how a product will work for you. Even the best products in the world can cause bad side effects for some people.

Oh! THAT'S TERRIBLE! All victims should go out and show their bad experiences... that's irresponsible customer service!

Natasha ... we must all be vigilant in testing any product, no matter what the marketing strategies or claims. Always put a little splotch of anything on the inside of your elbow for 24 hours. The salesgirls will resent you doing this, for walking away with a thank you I'm just testing this smile. If you return the next day, then fine.

As a maker of cream products, all homemade and hand-blended and personally-each-jar lovingly sealed and handmade-labelled and tested on willing humans and not unwilling animals with pure ingredients and therefore very exclusive, I feel exceptionally responsible for what I am doing. I would hope that the companies that spend so much money marketing and packaging a product and then charge you for all the fuss and bother would have something to write home about while keeping you happy. Go for the natural stuff. And even natural stuff can cause an allergic reaction. Test, test, test ... in the meantime, rosehip oil is pretty fantastic. Test. Seek.

PS I couldn't get into your electra site ... I could have told you a story about shocking excema on my face that isn't there anymore ... I got sick of all the other things and just made my own stuff. My creams are a hit around here.

It sounds like you may be having a reaction to the ingredients in the skin care products you used. If there is allergy then there will be inflammation and worsening wrinkles, swelling and redness of skin. Common culprits are avocado, shea butter which are used in a lot of skin creams.
In my products I specifically avoid anything allergenic.

2 cream-makers comments bring the virtues of roll-your-own formulas.

Given the proliferation of shaky practice for profit offerings, it is a good idea to commence with essential oil , emollient home blends to discover whats right.

I did notice complaints on counterfeit Skinbiology products on the market , and I suggest this is a likely culprit in your case. I doubt anyone with the clinical experience of Dr Pickart, could allow mistake in his own well researched formulations. Check out : skinbiology.com/renewingskinandhair.html for a higher than impressive record. Thanks to this post, I have now developed a method to test for authenticity and shall be in touch with Dr Pickart.

Look out for point of sale testing, at a department store near you !!

Lets put an end to counterfeit products, after all, I would not be impressed if my own peptides were being offered in triethanolamie, (I would never use),
pirated in overpopulated countries. Profit does strange things to formulas.

Hi Natasha--ME TOO! Go read my thread--warning about copper peptides!!!! I would love for you to post on it as some people are again touting them as perfect and great which I do believe is good for them but I think for everyone they help there are two people like us. I unfortunately used these ALL over my body and my skin is now about 20 years older than it was 6 months ago. I have crepe-paper skin from head to toe, feet, pubic region even, back, stomach all over! I am intensely using retin-a .1% and tons of moisture rich and healing creams as well as sweet almond oil ALL OVER. It is a pain and I am seeing only moderate improvement. I have heard from people that it does improve but then others say it does not. Many people who saw improvement said it took a year or more!

THESE PRODUCTS ARE DANGEROUS! I urge you to read the post I made "Warning About Copper Peptides" as I discussed the actual reason for the damage!

Sorry--not a reaction! See my post "Warning About Copper Peptides" for some scientific data on the mechanism of collagen degradation by use of copper peptides. This is a very real thing and I believe people need to be warned.

Glossy I wrote the post "Warning About Copper Peptides" and in it I actually discuss the proof that they do degrade collagen and the mechanism. THESE ARE NOT GOOD FOR EVERYONE AND IN FACT I BELIEVE THEY HURT MOST OF US! It is not for relatively good skin, they are for aged and more severely damaged skin IF they are for anyone at all. I think they should be banned and I have seriously considered legal action. I am not kidding as my skin has been so severely degraded in just about 5 months from these!

lexi and natasha im sorry to hear about your struggle with copper p

Lexi i would advise before taking legal action that you check out how skin biology says that you should use this product etc before taking advice, i also have to say that from what i know about the legal system, this may not be an easy battle you would have on your hands, for example the fact that you dont only use the copper p but other products, could all get drawn out in court and you may find your self spending a lot of money on lawyers fees not really getting yourself anywhere in the end, just check things out properly before doing anything though is my advice

good luck with it though

dr rachel im wondering why you say that you can get allergic reactions from avocado and shea butter, i have just never heard of this before, and if you can explain things further i would love to hear your explanantion on this, of course though we can get all get different reactions from different products

I really wish people would look at dates before posting. It is nice to re open threads. Re open and continue on with the topic.

Not to actually re open a thread, post a question to the last post and have it be from a year and a half ago??!!

You know Gymrat--being somewhat new I always assumed that posts would be relatively current and so I never bother looking at post dates! I will now! I also lose posts from time to time as I forget which ones I am on and then when I am back if they go "off" the new posts page I lose them!
