Hello- I am kind of new to this forum, well new to post anyways. I have been reading all of your posts for quit some time.

I am wondering if , Mari, Fawnie, Mireckca, Freddy, Pumi and everyone else out there, has ever tried Skin Biology products? and if so, what did you think? how long did it take to get some results? I am a product junkie, and am always looking for that miracle product!!

I am about 2 months free from taking Accutane for 5 months. I am trying to get my skin back to healthy. I feel like I have aged by 10 years plus, in just 5 months of taking Accutane. It did help with the adult acne, but has cause fine lines and uneven texture on my face. And I am missing that glow that I used to have.

So, I have been looking at Skin Biology products, and also Skin glow for a peel. Any feedback from any of you who might have tried these would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks so much!!

Hi,

I'm sorry but I have never used any of their products. It did, however, concern me that their website is a mess, they are constantly looking for distributors, and they sell in bulk. Not huge things to worry about, but perhaps no indicators as the best products out there. That's just my humble opinion.

Thank you Freddy for your humble opinion! That is exactly what I was looking for. It helps to have other input--so thank u

IluvNY- well..... I would like to think there is a miracle product somewhere out there-to be honest, it keeps me curious to try new things. I have used Vit C for years. I don't make my own, but use it faithfully.

I don't know exactly what you're looking for in a product -- I use Cellex C followed by Hydra B5 serum. My skin is oily but neither of these products add to any oiliness. I have some fine lines and some scars and use Reversa night cream with 8% glycolic acid to even out skin tone and by day I've started using the Borba line of products. I have seen an improvement in my skin -- more of a brightening and texture difference. the scars haven't improved significantly but I've just changed to this regime for the last month or so. Good luck -- everyone's skin is different -- sometimes it takes some time to find something that gives you the results you want.

Thanks Mari-for your input. I used Hydra B5 before, skin ceuticals, I think was the brand. I liked it. I remember mixing it with my moisturizer. I don't tend to have oily skin. Normal/combination I guess I would say. Just showing the good ol age signs, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, etc. I agree products are a trial and error and finding what works best is always a challenge. These forums help a ton though! I will definitely look into your Reversa night cream. Im a fan of glycolic. I just order some glycolic peels. I have never used Borba products but have heard good things about them.

Hi i was not trying to be rude about a miracle product!

If it helps at all im about to make up my own vit c serum and start using the green cream! The best thing you can do is find a product you like and stick with it and see if it makes any improvement! Depending on your skin type sure people will help!

Hi Gymrat,

I have not used skin biology products but you can try using a vitamin c serum to even out skin tone and improve fine lines/wrinkles. If you are already using one and didn't notice any improvement, I would advise to switch to a different brand like cellex-c which is really good from reviews I have read. Remember to use your vitamin c serum in the morning followed by a good sunblock and use a retinol product at night to erase fine lines. Skinceuticals, green cream, roc all have good retinol products. Look on makeupalley and smartskincare for product reviews before buying anything.

Pumi-do you make your own Vit C? And if so, what percent do you use? I am no chemist, but would love to give it a try! Would save a ton of money. I'm just afraid if I made my own Vit C, my husband would assume I can make ALL my own products!!

Hi gymrat!

My advice re: Skin Biology? Stay far away! I used copper peptides and found that they made my formerly good skin worse. It took me a long time to get back to where I started before using copper peptides.

There are no miracle products IMO. Just a slow steady peel with Retin-A, as high % as you can tolerate, Vitamin C serum and Sunscreen with a high SPF/PPD. Good diet, exercise and some supplements. Facial exercise and massage. Too sensible to be true isn't it.

Fawnie-

well I have the diet, exercise and supplements going. I am a BIG believer in diet and exercise playing a huge role in your skin. I run 5-7 miles a day, 5 days a week, doing this, it is a MUST to take supplements. I am the vitamin queen, along with being a product junkie.

Thanks for the input on Skin Biology products. Which products did you try? I am famous for buying products and then getting nervous about using them. Skin Biology is one of those products. I do however use their emu oil, and like it very much. Just curious as to what you used and didn't like. Sometimes I think such harsh chemicals really break down our skin more than we know!! Causing a bigger problem for us than what we had to begin with. Oh the joys of being a female

Pumi- Thank you for that link to the Vit C recipe-that was exactly what I was looking for. How to get the correct % of it, was the question that I had, so this will help me a ton! Thank you!

Glad you are staying fit!
I used Copper Peptides and found them to be all wrong for me. Some ppl swear by them, but not me. Retin-A is another remodeling agent that is better tolerated by most and doesn't give the "uglies" like Copper Peptides do.
